Ensign Danjar-Torra Addams[USS Discovery - Deck One - Bridge][Deck 1 - Main Bridge - USS Discovery]
Nevir smiled, nodding his head at the two senior officers. "Well.. then we can only hope the information doesn't come back until they are ready. Either way, there is nothing more for us to do here. I think we can call this mission done." he stated, tapping controls on his chair while they left the system.
Felder turned to her, with a look of slight annoyance. "Do you really think we have buoys we deploy to send radio waves telling off planets? What purpose do you think the captain would order a subspace buoy to be deployed for a species, or pair of species, that doesn't have subspace communication? Comm buoys are for subspace transmissions. You need to put more faith in the Captain's intelligence, Miss Said. Besides... its not our place to speculate the motives of alien races. Maybe its because we're outsiders, maybe its because we invaded, maybe they just wanted something to shoot at. You would do well to stick to facts and evidence, and leave the speculations for academic papers." he said, shaking his head. Maybe he shouldn't have brought up the thought of promotion.
Felder looked down at the primary panel and nodded with Torra's report. Buoy deployed, they were leaving the system, the fun was now over. With not much left to do up front, Felder started a weapons diagnostic. "No pursuit detected Captain... I think they've returned to going after each other."
"Thank you Mr. Felder. Resume repair work. Mr. Addams, as soon as we have warp power back set a course for Science Station Tango Sierra. And you and Mr. Lek have that amount of time to decide what to do about the shuttlebay." he stated, standing up.
"Commander T'Lara, you have the bridge, I'll be in my ready room." Nevir stated, turning and walking off the bridge.
Torra tried not to listen in as Felder reprimanded Nira openly for her questioning out of turn and unnecessarily. She didn't like hearing her friend get dressed down. Nira was so much more intelligent than so. Torra wanted to see her succeed.
After the Captain retired to his ready room, and with the ship headed away from the system, Torra messaged her Department Head to request replacement for the rest of her shift. In fact she took then next three days off as Sick Leave, cc'ing Luby as the medical contact, should Lt Banan needed the proof. Torra felt completely justified in this action. She was feeling very emotionally spent and figured she would need the time to recuperate fully.

There it was. The situation where you feel you got two situations on a plate. They both can't be on that plate. It was like salt water and fresh water trying to be in the same spot. He had brackish water in dish which should be a bowl.
The Captain had given an order for Lek and himself. He turned to look at his wife with a sad smile. He was not sure what was bothering Torra and what level it was.
They even had done a mission and succeed for staying alive and rescuing the ship. They are on the way to Science Station Tango Sierra and there was time from here and there.
Torra as at her station. He had no power to dismiss her from her station by her Head of Department.
Torra, love, Keep your head up if you can. I am here. I will speak to you when we both get off shift. Unless you get permission from you department. Love, Don. That was the message he had sent to Torra.
Don had sent a message to Ensign Bok-Char to come to take the helm. He better stay quiet and not talk the bridge to much. He was giving the Bolian time on the bridge.
Bok-Char was fast. To fast. When he came flying out the turbolift. That was a concern of Don. That Bolian must had expecting to be on the bridge. That meant he was not focusing on his other duty. He will need to see what Bok was doing and see how he finished it.
'I AM HERE!" he said excitedly. His eye where big as balloons. "Ah..."
Don had to got up his seat facing Torra and gave her a gentle rub on her shoulder as he walked away. Then he had waited for the Captain to answer Lek's request before he headed to the ready room.
Don faced his replacement face to face. "Ensign, please make me proud," he told the Bolian.
"YES SIR!" he chirped up and he sat down. He smiled at Torra. "Hello, Ensign Torra Addams! Glad to see you!" Then he was pouncing away on the console and carefully trying to listen in what they might be saying.
Torra had heard the Captain's order to both Lek and Don, but unlike Don, Torra got the impression that as long as the task was done before they arrived at the Science Station that there was no urgency. So she was a little surprised to receive an apologetic message from her husband telling her to keep her head up and that he would see her after his shift. Torra was unexpectedly upset at the realization that - despite knowing that she was distraught - he didn't even try to defer the task. Of course she understood that the Captain had given an order but Torra still felt abandoned. She was so upset that she the didn't bother reading the rest of the message.
Soon after Don's replacement arrived and after a brief touch upon her shoulder he was gone and Torra was left feeling bereft. The boisterous greeting from Bok-Char that normally she would have been more than happy to return in kind, was met with a frown. Thankfully she didn't have to stay long beside him, for a moment later her own replacement arrived. It was Elena once more who regarded Torra in concern.
"Torra, are okay?" she quietly asked as she switched spots with the Grazerite. Normally Torra only ever called for replacement if she was called on a superior to do a task. That wasn't the case this time according to Lt Banan. This had Torra former cabinmate worried about her friend.
Once more Torra was torn between needing to talk and wanting to tell Don first. So Torra said nothing just merely nodded and murmured a quiet 'thank you' as she turned to leave the Bridge.
Ensign Danjar-Torra Addams[USS Discovery - Deck 2 - Addams' family quarters - start of Beta shift]Despite having tried to rest earlier when she first arrived, sleep eluded Torra and instead she had ended up giving in to her tears once more, waiting for Don to arrive home. She hoped he didn't offer to work late tonight.
