Hi

I'm always curious to know what people's favorite character is?
And if that character had anything to do with the character you play now.

Species:  Betazoid/Vulcan.

From all Star Trek series there are? That is really hard.

But I think mine would be Data. I just LOVE him.

Species: Ba'ku

I've always considered Spock my favourite, which certainly carried over to my primary character XD I love his story, his culture, his family, and his friendships. Just because I want to I'm gonna share my runner-ups from the other series. Picard, Miles O'Brien, (DS9 is sooo hard to choose. They're so unique and I love them all) Chakotay, Trip Tucker. I have not watched Star Trek: Discovery yet  :o

TOS:  Spock
TNG:  Riker   (this may be cause I had friend who was the spitting image of him)
VOY:  Seven of Nine
DS9:  Garak
ENT:  Archer / Trip  (it's so hard to choose)
DIS:  Saru
PIC:  Narek / Rios  (again hard to choos)

As with Tess, I find choosing one out of them all incredibly hard.

TOS: McCoy - I loved how it would just bluntly tell everyone exactly what they needed to hear, whether they liked it or not, calling them out on their mistakes, prejudices, or otherwise utter [expletive]-ups.

TNG: A tough one. I think it just has to be Picard; he was a new style of Captain at the time - eloquent, considerate, smart and cultured. Nothing against 'cowboy diplomacy' of the earlier era, but there was something...evolved about Humanity's approach. And I don't just mean that the tea (quite right too, old chap). Then again, Picard always had to stipulate his tea 'hot'. What kind of barbaric society is the Federation where you have to ensure your Earl Grey isn't room temperature or...worse... iced? *shudders*

VOY: I think the EMH/Doctor had the most interesting character development. A supplementary medical program activated in utter crisis, forced to run continuously and beyond his operating parameters. On the way, his software evolved, adapted and expanded. On some level, I agree with his perspective in his holo-novel 'Photons Be Free'; the early episodes had the crew really treat him badly.

DS9: This is the one I struggle with. Virtually everyone on that show deserved screen time; each one added to the overall fabric of premise. If I had to choose one, I'd struggle between Garak and O'Brien. But since the writers loved to punish the Chief at least once a series, I'll honour this fine tradition and not choose him.

ENT: I quite liked ENT, and so I remain a little sad it ended when (and how) it did. I want to say Malcolm Reed was my favourite, as I liked the idea of a stuffy tactical officer being eager to blow stuff up. No. Go on. Yeah, its Reed. He made me laugh (and at times want throw things at the TV) and worked best when teamed with Trip.

DIS: Pike, I guess.

PIC: What's that? Never heard of it. Fine fine. Laris, the housekeeper. She was criminally underused. I'd like to see her back in a new-and-so-very-improved Season 2.

I definitely see a bit of Spock in you, T'Lara

I can't choose between Garak or Quark.

Nira Said

Some of my prime favorites include, first of all, Worf, both in TNG and DS9, and Troi. Not as a couple, of course. Part of that is where I draw inspiration for Nira, in that Nira is like a cross between Worf and Troi, in that she possesses dedication to duty like Worf while possessing telepathy like Troi. And also hints of Odo, the detective in Nira displayed.

Other favorites:

-For TOS, it would be Scotty. I mean, who doesn't love that accent?

-For Voyager, it would be Seven of Nine. Not out of the formfitting duds, but mostly because of her technology. One of my first role-playing characters was a liberated Borg like Seven, and she's also a forensic science officer, where I draw inspiration for Nira. The problem with a liberated drone in Security would be that one could inadvertently write him/her as a Mary Sue if one isn't careful, a lesson I learned the hard way.

-For Enterprise, it would be Trip. I mean, who doesn't love that engineer with his drawl?

-As for STP and DIS, I have no favorite characters because I want nothing to do with them. I don't even want to regard them canon. I will stop here on the subject because I could potentially rant.

The connection between you and Troi makes a lot of sense!
But the added layer identifying with Worf and his influence your character is super cool!
It's almost like your are the child they never had!
