[Bridge]

Klabax walked out of the turbolift, looking around the Bridge. It wasn't a layout he recognized, but then again he was rarely on the bridge. He looked around for anything to do, but was simply stuck waiting. This wasn't his area of expertise, and it wasn't something he could run a test on. It was a cold, metal bridge. It was up to those who knew what they were talking about to work here. He began doing low level tricorder scans for any signs of biomatter.

As Leela approached the dylithium storage tanks and opened them. A small amount of dust shifted as she opened the the tank. "Hmmm" She stood on the tips of her toes to get a better view. "There dylitium in the tank... I don't see any reason we couldn't light her up. I could probably get her going on her own poer with a small power transfer from the Discovery."

Lennox raised a brow, a small smirk tugging on the corners of his lips as he edged forward.

"If yer willin', I'm very 'appy te lend my services?" He asked.

2 DAYS LATER!!

The crew was back aboard the Discovery. Doctor Cottle had headed for the Bridge and when he didn't see his Security detail following him, he returned to Sickbay only to find Ensigns Rivera and Meyers laying in the middle of the floor, dead. He was unable to determine a cause right away and when he contacted Kyle to inform him, Kyle immediately called for everyone to be beamed back aboard their own ship. Upon returning, he had Cottle give everyone on the Away Teams a check up. No one showed any signs of anything wrong. The two deaths just weren't explainable. For now. Kyle thought. We'll get some more Scientist out here to follow up. They'll figure it out.

Currently, Kyle found himself sitting in his Ready Room. Kali had asked about a Halloween Party for the crew and Kyle thought it was a great idea. Something to lift their spirits on the voyage back the the Star base. He, however, didn't plan to attend. He didn't feel as if his spirits could be nor deserved to be, lifted. He had lost two more men. Over his long career in Starfleet, he had finally lost count of how many men he'd actually lost. That should have been his first sign. His second should have been when he choose Starfleet over Olivia. He had been a fool. He sighed once more and took another drink of his tea before he began speaking. This had been a long time coming.

"Computer. Begin recording."

To: Admiral Kirok
     Fleet Commanding Officer

Sir. It is with a heavy heart that I must render my resignation from Starfleet. It has been an honor working with such an amazing and talented crew but circumstances have brought this about. I can no longer lead this crew the way they deserve to be led. I will be bringing the Discovery back to Starbase Columbus before departing. Thank you for all the support you have shown and given me over the years.

                                                                                Sincerely,
                                                                                Kyle Briggs

"Computer. Mark urgent and deliver." he ordered.
