[Holodeck]
After being relieved of duty, Jettis had decided to test a few of his theories about the Wells ship. Deciding the most effective way to do that would be to run a few holodeck simulations. A few run-throughs and he could easily pinpoint flaws in his previous conclusions. Slowly, one by one, he tweaked them until they more closely resembled the reaction he was trying to get in the first place. A small frown disturbed his features when he still didn't get a perfectly accurate conclusion.
"Computer, freeze program." He ordered, stepping back from the mock-console he stood at. "Rewind five seconds exactly." The confirming beeps of the computer reconfiguring the program, as everything teleported back to their previous places. "Continue program."
Once again, the program played out exactly as before, a test fight between the Discovery, and what they knew of the Wells ship. Barking out another 'freeze program', he started pacing around the setting for a moment, before letting out an exasperated huff. He needed to adjust his theories, taking to account what he'd discovered already.
"Computer, save and exit program." He commanded, watching as the false scene shimmered out of existence, leaving a simple grid wall in front of him. Turning on his heel, he moved toward the door, stepping out of the holodeck, and heading toward the main Science lab.
[Main Science Lab]
Stepping in the door, he briefly paused in mild uncertainty, when he saw smoke. Gaze shifting to Kinley, he relaxed when she seemed to be nothing more than irked at the object, and continued in to the lab.
"Is this a bad time, Garrison?" He quipped, quirking a brow at her. Continuing over to the Computer, away from the minor mishap, and began calling up information on the Wells ship to review. After a few moments he paused, recognizing his own inadvertent rudeness. Twisting around to face her again, he tilted his head. "Do you need any help with that? Although, I wasn't the best chemist in the Academy. Only the second best." He smirked slightly, refraining from laughing at himself. That was a damn lie, he had excelled in almost everything but chemistry. It just wasn't his cup of tea.
