PO2 Danjar-Torra Addams
[Carraya IV - Archeological Ruins]
While the others clustered about the pillar to read its inscription, Torra moved off a distance to get a bit of perspective on the problem of deciphering the Vulcan-like symbols. When the Captains' adopted daughter spoke of finding a storage facility rather than a weapon or ship, Torra couldn't contain her curiosity. "We should definitely see what's in that storage facility. Is there some reason we can't subsurface scan using the ship?"
[Archeological Ruins - Carraya IV]
When Torra spoke up, it reminded Ian of something he had forgotten to do and as the bulk of the away team had gathered to hear the new discovery, he figured now was as good a time as any to make his announcement. He tapped his commbadge so that what he had to say would be heard aboard the ship as well."
"Gentlebeings, this is Commander Galloway, your attention please. As you know Petty Officer Torra has filled many roles aboard Discovery, security, medical, and operations. What you might not know is she challenged the commissioned officer's exam and it is my distinct pleasure ta announce that Petty Officer Second Class Torra Danjar-Addams is now Ensign Torra Danjar-Addams.
"That is the good news, but for those of you aware of the Ferengi Rules of Acquisition, the 285th Rule states 'No good deed goes unpunished' and as a result, Ensign Danjar-Addams is assigned to the science department effective immediately. I guess your yeoman work in isolatin' the Iaba virus is the reason for your new assignment. Congratulations Ensign."
Ian reached into his pocket and removed Torra's petty officer insignia and replaced it with the single 'pip' of an ensign.
"Computer. Recognize Ian Galloway, Commander, USS Discovery."
"Acknowledged."
"Computer. Log promotion of Petty Officer Second Class Torra Danjar-Addams to Ensign."
"Acknowledged."
Ian smiled at Torra and added.
"Now it's official Lass. Go forth and do great things."

As Cadet Ruthie Falleq-Tekin
The red-head beamed at the announcement from her father's First Officer, and held out her hand to the new officer. "
Congrats!"
However, there were few things that would force the attention of the young science cadet from her passions, and this certainly wasn't one of them.
"
The planet's lithosphere is rich in inhibiting metals that make surface scanning nearly impossible. Add that the concentration around the site, and its easy to see why this planet was selected as their weapon location." Ruthie stated, pointing back at what looked like just jungle-laden hills.
"
What we have is an ancient Farraday cage for our modern sensors. You wouldn't know it, but none of that vista is natural hills... at least they weren't natural to begin with." she stated, turning back to the First officer as another Federation scientist came up the path and made a beeline for him.
"Commander, sir, we think we got access to the chamber. The Star Science Academy workers are just getting the doors open, and they requested your team take point on security." stated the non-Starfleet scientist, inciting a large grin on Ruthie's face.
"
I can't wait to see what is in there! Let's hurry!" she said, practically bouncing down the path... looking a whole lot like her mother back on Katra station.
Back at the site, as the Romulans opened the vine covered doors, the inside was surprisingly dry and clean. It certainly wasn't a vacuum seal, but it was close. Inside was old ancient computers with push keys instead of touch screen panels, and lines of cables around the facility. It looked like an ancient research facility alright, a classic laboratory. There was no sign of the so called weapon itself, but there was a lot of testing locations, and a lot of old notes.
