[Deck 312]

Judy picked up on Sovaan's discomfort, as they walked, her glasses now clipped to the front pocket of her jacket. She had a low distance prescription, and sometimes, it was better to see a little bit less.

She raised a brow when he addressed her as "Professor", but didn't make a big deal of it, letting him catch his own slip-up.
"Yes, the decks do go down to... 300-something," she answered. "I rarely ever had to go below Tertiary Sickbay on 325, but I'm pretty sure Main Engineering is a ways below even that."

As she entered another turbolift, sending them to, "deck 325," she decided to do her thing.
"I noticed you were a little uncomfortable on the Lower Promenade," she observed, letting him respond with as much or as little as he wanted. That was her way as a therapist - she tried not to push furiously towards the truth, but rather let it bubble up.

Sovaan

[Deck 312]

Sovaan was just glad to be done with it the moment he was past the the other Orions - he had made sure not to even look at them, and had no real desire to interact. He didn't want to offend, but he was sure none of them would really notice. They'd just think he was in a hurry.

"I did take some engineering classes in the medical academy that they offered, but I don't think I'd be much help down that far." That was an easier subject to get back to. The two academies that he went to both were filled with good memories and useful things that he'd learned.

The Ensign's eyes glanced over towards Judy when she mentioned his being uncomfortable, and he cleared his throat quickly afterward. "Yes, it...it just isn't my kind of place."

Judy nodded. She suspected there was a little more to it, but she wasn't going to cross-examine.
"It's not exactly my speed either," she answered simply.

The turbolift promptly deposited them at deck 325.

"This is tertiary sickbay, the smallest of the three. It serves engineering, the lower promenade, and the rest of the lower parts of the station. As you can see, we don't have surgical bays and all that jazz here, because Primary handles that stuff for the most part," Judy explained as she stepped out of the turbolift. "Now, we're going to head all the way back up, unless you need a break."

Sovaan

[Deck 312 -> Deck 325]

Sovaan appreciated the fact that Judy didn't seem to push things; he wasn't very interested in divulging details about himself in a turbolift. Besides, it was a long story that wasn't very pleasant to tell. He tried to avoid thinkin about it.

The Ensign stepped out to examine the rest of the tertiary sickbay, clearly interested in its facilities. "Still, I'm sure it can do a lot for those wounded this far down before sending them further. There must be many minor burns from Main Engineering."

Sovaan shook his head as Judy kept speaking, seeming still quite curious about everything around. "I don't need a break. Would you prefer one?" He wasn't sure if that was her polite way of trying to say so - he'd encountered that with others before.

"Major burns get beamed directly to Primary," Judy answered. "We don't take risks. It's mostly cuts and falls coming out of there, thankfully. The kind of thing I learned to treat by being a mom."

Judy smiled as she thought back to the experience of raising twin boys, an experience that was in some sense done, but in a much more real sense never would be finished.

"Anyway, I don't need a break yet. My husband and I are serious hikers, so I can handle time on my feet," she then added, as she led the way back to the lift. "I know you work in Primary, but I think I can show you a few corners you don't already know, and while we're at it, I'll pick up a pair of new glasses I have waiting."
She put her current pair back on, and used the control panel on the lift.
