"It's the least I could do," M'Kurn replied, taking Lori's hand. "However, I'm afraid I didn't bring a bathing suit with me, did you? I'm afraid local law enforcement might arrest us for public indecency if we stroll to the beach completely naked, even if we are Batman and Robin."

As the police arrived to clean up the mess, M'Kurn walked with Lori to find a shop where they could outfit themselves for the remainder of their time, and perhaps find one of the things Terrans referred to as "chili dogs."

" Neither did I as I wasn't exactly planning on wearing one, but you're right, we don't want to get arrested, despite our popularity" Lori replied as M'Kurn took hold of her hand and they walked towards the shops. She loved how honest and playful she could be around him and if he asked more, then she had no issue with telling him.

More importantly she was looking forward to spending the rest of the day with him, doing other things aside from saving the city. So as they approached the first shop, she led him inside to look at the clothes on offer.

" I think I'll go for a bikini and sarong for now" she said as she began to look at the brightly coloured outfits.

M'Kurn looked a tad surprised at the woman's boldness, but shrugged it off with a grin. After all, she'd chosen her scenario not knowing she'd have company, and to be fair he knew little of Human social mores. His own reluctance to want to appear nude in front of someone he barely knew was his concern, not hers. Watching her hold up the skimpy bits of clothing that qualified as a bathing suit, however, made him wonder how far away from naked she'd actually be.

"I'm happy to help you make a selection!" he said with a smile. "If you'd like to try a few on first. I could give you my opinion. Not that you need it," he added quickly, "just that I'd enjoy it."

He walked to a nearby rack of men's swimsuits. "Hm. None of these have a tail hole."

"Something I can help you with, sir?" asked a young man with a name tag who'd appeared as if by magic.

"Oh! Um, yes!" replied the Caitian. "Anything designed for bipeds with tails?"

The young man looked M'Kurn up and down in a way that made him feel a touch exposed. "I have just the thing," he replied.

"He has just the thing," M'Kurn said to Lori. "What have you found?"

Whether he liked what she had said or not, he didn't give much away, other than the grin, before he commented on her choice of bathing suit.

It was Lori's turn to grin, especially as he suggested that she try on a few and how he would enjoy it if she did. " Well since you've asked so nicely, I like that idea".

So with that in mind, Lori began choosing what she wanted, as M'Kurn was approached by an assistant, who offered to help find something suitable.

When M'Kurn turned to her and asked what she had found, she grinned and held up several bikinis.

" A few to try on and see which will suit me the best".

M'Kurn nodded. He didn't know much about fashion, but he did know he was intrigued by the prospect of seeing more of this Human woman revealed. A small part of his brain was curious about the feeling; was it the idea of the bathing suit? Was that why there were so many styles? Most Caitians, himself included, didn't swim unless they had to. He'd passed the requisite Academy swimming certification course, but couldn't say he'd enjoyed it much, or at all.

"There's a dressing room right over there," he said, pointing to his right. "I don't see the salesman I was talking to, but I'm the only Caitian in a Batman suit in here; I assume he can find me."

" I'm sure he will, if not we'll find him or find you something ourselves" Lori replied as she led the way over to the dressing room.

She had to admit that she was looking forward to putting on a little fashion show for M'Kurn and hoped that it would put a smile on his face or elicit a repeat of what had happened outside.

Although when it came to an outfit for him, she was sure that if needed they could replicate one, so he too could be a little more comfortable and maybe copy what she was about to do.

Leaving him for a moment, Lori went inside and stripped off, before selecting a pale blue bikini with an halterneck top and returned to M'Kurn to see what he thought of it.

"Very nice!" replied M'Kurn with a smile. "I must say, I thought the Robin outfit was flattering, but this is...I mean...moreso!"

Just then, the salesman who had been talking with the Caitian returned, with something on a hanger. "Great!" said M'Kurn. "While you change into your next suit, I'll go and try this one on. I'll meet you here in two minutes!"

The compliments were very much welcomed, especially with how M'Kurn made her feel whenever he said something that was both flattering and flirty.

However, before she could say something, the salesman returned with an possible outfit for her a Caitian friend and quickly answered M'Kurn when he spoke to her again.

" Okay, I'll see you soon".

Lori then returned to the changing area and took off the blue bikini. This time she chose the light purple strapless number with spaghetti strap briefs. Another possible contender for the beach as she put it on and then went out to wait for M'Kurn.

M'Kurn came around the corner to see Lori's next outfit. She might not know the intricacies of Caitian expressions, but it seemed clear he was feeling rather self-conscious and not very pleased.

"Well that's a great color for you," he said. "The purple really compliments your skin tone."

He pointed to himself. "He said this was all they had." The Caitian turned around. "It's got a flap. For my tail."

The moment she saw M'Kurn, she could tell that he didn't like what he had been given to try on, despite his continued compliments.

" Thank you, I think this is definitely the one for me" she replied, before he spoke about his own outfit and turned around to show her the flap.

She didn't want him to feel self conscious about it and without saying anything took hold of his hand and took him into the changing area.

" I'm sure they could of done better than that for you and I know you're not happy, so let's replicate something for you".

Instructing the computer on what she wanted, a pair of colourful board shorts appeared that would be comfortable and allow access for his tail.

" How about these?".

"Oh, that's, yes, that would be better, I think." M'Kurn gratefully took the trunks from Lori. "I'll go put this on. Did you have one more swimsuit you wanted to try? I'd like to see." In truth, he was enjoying watching her model for him. He wondered if he should offer an opinion, and decided he'd tell her which he preferred when he was finished changing out of the fashion monstrosity he was currently saddled with.

Seeing M'Kurn happy made Lori happy as the last thing she wanted was for him to feel miserable. So when he accepted the new trunks from her, she smiled, before he asked if there was another swimsuit she could try on.

Lori considered the request for a moment as she happened to like the one she had on. However since he was so keen to see it, Lori decided to allow it.

" There might be and I'll do it just for you".

So she left him once more, to change into and return wearing a black string bikini.

M'Kurn changed into the board shorts, which were decorated in a riot of color, yet he had to admit it offset his black fur nicely, and was very comfortable once he adjusted himself properly.

Exiting the changing room, he waited for Lori to finish with her own suit, and grinned widely when he saw he return.

"I'm fairly sure you would look good in any suit you tried on," he offered by way of compliment. "Of the three, I would say the purple one, but honestly, they're all quite flattering on you."

He paused to execute a slow 360 degree turn, showing off his own physique in the shorts she'd handed him.

"How's this?" he asked.

Seeing the way M'Kurn grinned as he spotted her, made Lori delighted, knowing that her choice of bathing suits so far, had given the right effect. She could also get used to his many compliments, as he then spoke about the purple one and how they all looked flattering on her.

" Thank you, I'll go put that one back on" she said before he showed off his own physique and the shorts, she had chosen.

" Perfect, they look great with your fur".

Lori then left him for a moment, allowing him to see the perfect view of her, before she returned wearing the purple bikini.
