Cultural Appreciation Fair (open to anyone)

Jenna smiled when she heard Leanna suggesting her drop her effects at Puzzles. It made sense because she was going to be playing there later anyway. They made their way quickly to Puzzles. It was there she spotted Eliana. It had been a while since she stormed off and hadn't had the chance to speak to her. She saw the woman was busy so she decided speaking to her later would be best.

It didn't take the pair long to make it back to the promenade. Jenna was just finished telling the story about a camping trip her and Caleb took. She was telling Leanna about the wildlife and how she enjoyed being in nature. "Great place for cliff diving.... Went there once with a ex. It's quiet enough for skinny dipping too,"Jenna said. By then they were waiting in line for the food that Leanna suggested they try.

Leanna was glad that Jenna had accepted her offer of dropping her guitar and equipment off at Puzzles that way nothing would encumber them as they experienced the fair some more especially with Leanna wanting to make the most of her time off and getting to know her new friend more. She was also relieved that there wasn't any awkwardness with Eliana when they did stop at the bar briefly memories of the moments flirtation with J'Trell forgotten as soon as she saw Alex a quick hug and they were back out onto the Promenade.

Listening intently with interest as Jenna told her about her camping trip with Caleb and he seemed the kind of guy that she would get on with and when she mentioned going cliff diving with an ex and skinny dipping she grinned. " Definitely something I would do Jenna and as for Caleb perhaps I'll get to meet him and his fiancee sometime" she replied as they approached the jumja stick stall.

" Hi there two jumja sticks please " she said once they got to the front.

Leanna was glad that Jenna had accepted her offer of dropping her guitar and equipment off at Puzzles that way nothing would encumber them as they experienced the fair some more especially with Leanna wanting to make the most of her time off and getting to know her new friend more. She was also relieved that there wasn't any awkwardness with Eliana when they did stop at the bar briefly memories of the moments flirtation with J'Trell forgotten as soon as she saw Alex a quick hug and they were back out onto the Promenade.

Jenna thanked Arrun and paid for the two sticks. She then saw the makeshift nametag the Bajroan man running the stand wore. The name sounded oddly familiar from somewhere as she couldn't seem to place it. She then remembered a video chat she had with Caleb. It then finally clicked. "You wouldn't happen to be from the Athena would you? A close friend of mine is on the Athena. His name is Caleb also known as Doctor Brighton," Jenna asked.

While she waited for a reply, Jenna took a taste of the Jumja stick. It was extremely sweet. It threw her off at first, but after another taste, she found she liked it. "I didn't realize how sweet this was! It's kind of like me and Leanna. My name is Jenna by the way," Jenna said with a smile.

[Upper Promenade]

"No problem. They are the largest and thickest bones. Have to be sturdy enough to take all of the weight. The femur. It is the only bone in the thigh."

Knox asked for one serving. The hot large bone split into two before her. She happily placed some of the warm and meaty smelling mixture onto the toasted bread and a little of the caramelized tart onion. It was just as good as her memory on Earth.

"Would you like to try?"

Tritter and Ryan moved over to the same table that Knox was sitting at. Ryan let Ashley down so she could take a seat. Tritter did the same with Christopher, sitting his young son down next to his Sister. Oddly enough, the two kids didn't really squabble that much back and forth. Tritter than took a seat next to his Husband. He than wrapped his muscular right arm around his Husband's waist, Ryan than nudged into Tritter for a moment and than wrapped his left arm around Tritter's waist.

Tritter than looked to Ryan for a moment, he than looked to Knox, he was a bit on the quiet side and he wasn't good at small talk. Ryan than looked to Tritter at the same time, than back to Knox. He than asked her the following, "So how is the station treating you?" He spoke in a slight southern accent, his tone smooth and confident. Both of them were casually dressed, Tritter wearing a simple black tshirt and jeans.

Whereas Ryan was wearing a tshirt that was mostly gray with some tribal print on it. Each man was fairly well built, that echoed of each's past in Law Enforcement. Ryan had short hair that was gelled into spikes, he also had a confident and intense gaze that was also friendly as he focused on Knox.

"Actually, I just got assigned to the Athena. After the fair I'm supposed to catch a shuttle to meet up with the ship. Just graduated from the Academy; so I'm with the ship but not familiar with the crew quite yet." He smiled and babbled a little nervously, half proud of the assignment and half scared-to-death at meeting its Captain. "As for Doctor Brighton, I'm not surprised he knows my name. I had to clear some of my incense and dietary requirements with him before I flew over."

"If you ladies think that's sweet, you should try the extra sweet kind." He pointed to one Jumja glop that was much brighter. "I swear it makes your teeth hurt with each lick."

Arrun turned to Leanna in particular, "I'll have to send you the method to spin your own if you're interested in making these for you bar. Hand-spun jumja sticks just cannot be replicated." He smiled to force himself not to babble on again about the various ways one could make jumjas different flavors; he was supposed to introduce the treats to people not lecture about them.

All the same. any nerves Arrun felt lightened a little at the sweet pair of ladies. With a glance he mentally thought sweet and extra sweet when thinking of the pair; suppressing a chuckle at his own observation.

I was about to play some music at Leanna's bar and you can show her how to make the sticks while I play. We can make it a party," Jenna proposed to Arrun. She then turned to Leanna. "If you give me a few songs to practice I can make some good music. I just need a crowd. Think we can make it happen and show Arrun a good time before he heads to the Athena?" She asked Leanna.

Leanna smiled as Arrun greeted them and waved away the payment that Jenna had try to make and continued to enjoy the Jumja stick as she picked up his thoughts regarding her and Jenna and wondered who he considered sweet and extra sweet but like always decided not to say anything or cause embarrassment.

Listening as Jenna spoke to him and made her suggestion and it was a good idea and had no issue having him come to the bar to show her how to make them or for Jenna to play to a crowd. She also grinned at the dare regarding the extra jumja stick and finished what she was eating before answering them both.

" I'm up for the dare too " she replied " As for you joining us at the bar and showing me how to the make them your more than welcome and I would enjoy learning how to make the jumja sticks and there's bound to be a crowd by now and I'll make sure Alex helps you out with the songs he has quite an extensive playlist".

Arrun laughed and shook his head. "I think I will pass on your dare. Somehow I get the feeling the both of you would try to get me to lick the sweetest thing in here."

"As for coming with you," He tilted his head ever so slightly and played and thinking deeply. "I don't know, the bar seems quite a long way away from here." He said looking in the general direction he recalled the bar being located. He then looked to the pair and nodded. "But you have swayed me with music and pleasant company; my replacement should be along shortly anyway."

True to his prediction, an elderly Bajoran lady smiled and waved at Arrun. The two spoke briefly about how many sticks had been given out, what flavors had been popular, and exchanged brief stories about the interesting people they had met today; on the final topic Arrun introduced the pair of ladies and their purposed plans. "Oh ho! Spreading the joy of the Prophets I see, Dihsar." she said with a mix of polite address and a knowing wink. "Go on then, have your fun, I'll just stay here handing out jumja while you go play."

Arrun was a bit flustered and knew exactly what the old lady was implying. Though his order had never been a chaste one, it was not something he thought should be joked about so lightly; then again- "Go on, go on!" The old Bajoran lady said with a soft push that Arrun did not resist. Without another word, as if not missing a beat, the lady began serving a lone Andorian with a peculiar taste for raspberries.

Arrun finally turned and blinked his eyes rapidly a little, half forgetting that they had been there; though, perhaps more he was hoping -Prophet's willing- that they had not understood the old lady's teasing. "Yes, um, so, I suppose I am free now. Please, lead on."

Jenna watched the scene in front of her unfold. She raised a questionable eyebrow and lightly chuckled. She gave a moment for Arrun to recover. "Come on loverboy," Jenna said in a joking manor. "Let' go have a bit of fun eh?" Jenna said. She then took a lick of her Jumja stick and gave Arrun a wink. She then turned to Leanna.

"Molly said she's gonna swing by a bit later with her bass guitar. Do you have someone who can help out on drums for me?" Jenna asked Leanna. While she waited for a reply, she didn't notice Molly waiting in the shadows nearby coming to scare Jenna. When Leanna saw Molly, she winked and made a motion to keep it quiet until the right time.

However she was glad that he had accepted their invitation to join them in the bar and watched the exchange between him and the older Bajoran lady and again didn't want to embarrass him by teasing him then again Jenna beat her too it and at that point she couldn't help but smile and let out a small giggle.

" I'm glad you could join us Arrun " she said before Jenna told her about Molly and asked if there was someone who could play drums for her then noticed Molly winking at her then gestured for her to keep quiet for now receiving a knowing wink back in reply. She loved how today was going and genuinely was having fun. " Sounds good Jenna and I do " she replied " I think you will like Reuben he's part of Alex's band".

Arrun followed Jenna and Leanna quietly to the bar for a little while, feeling a little warm in the cheeks from all the teasing he was getting. He wasn't entirely sure what sort of music band they were talking about, but he figured he would pick up on it when they played; San Francisco was as much a city of music as it was of the Academy; so he wouldn't be walking into the music too blindsided.

As Leanna led the way back to the bar she was looking forward to not only hearing Jenna play but to also get to know Arrun a little better and hopefully learn more about Bajoran culture. She had been enjoying both of their company so far then again she always did when Jenna was concerned and she was glad that Seamus had persuaded her to take some time off and explore the Promenade.

Entering the fairly busy bar she stopped just inside and turned to her new friends trying not to give too much a way as Molly crept up and slid her hands around Jenna's waist and whispered in her ear. " Well guess you've found Molly then " she said unable to hold back the giggle any longer then looked to Arrun " Welcome to Puzzles, let's get Jenna set up with the band then I can get you all a drink my treat".

Jenna blushed as she felt Molly's arms wrap around her from behind. Molly whispered into her ear that she missed her and she then kissed her cheek. Despite them being secretive, Molly was not really sure if she wanted to be public yet. Jenna sensed her hesitation and was hesitant herself. Though Molly was not questioning her own sexuality and preferences, she had never actually gone through with it. They had decided to try a few dates and if there was no spark that they would remain friends. Though once they had gotten to know one another, over a few late night meals, the spark was too good to ignore.

Jenna then turned her head to look up at Molly. Molly smiled at Jenna and that was when she gave Molly one of her all too famous smirks. Before Molly could react, Jenna closed the gap and kissed her. Molly's cheeks flushed red as her eyes closed. Jenna's followed suit and sensed Molly's feelings.  Jenna placed one of her hands Molly's hand to assure her that she should not be nervous. When she did that Molly's hands stopped quivering. Any ill thought or nervousness melted away. It didn't matter what anyone thought in that moment. They were prepared if any stupid people said anything afterward.

Eliana walked over and cleared her throat. When she did she noticed the two ladies, then locked in a kiss, jump. She chuckled lightly, hiding her anger in that moment, and spoke. "Do either of you want a drink? Jenna if you do I can put whatever frilly thing you like up on the stage for when you go to sing," Eliana said. Normally she would not act this way with customers, but her and Jenna's history allowed for some non professional  banter.

"For your information I don't drink those fruity drinks. Second I will have a long island tea and please put it up on the stage," Jenna said in a snarky tone. If Molly hadn't been holding her in place, she would have crossed her arms. Molly was blushing and then Jenna smiled looking up at her like everything was ok. Jenna's blush was apparent, but so was Molly's. "I will have a tequila sunrise," Molly said with a bit of a squeak to her voice.

It was wonderful to see the Commander with his husband so happy and comfortable together. They had built a loving family on the Station. She smiled at Ashley and Christopher.

Ryan then began to pay attention to Knox directly and she began to feel a little hot, staring into his intense eyes as he spoke to her.

Oh my.... Very nice. Well done, Commander.... Oh, wait. Station. Treating me. Right.

Wondering if she had been staring at Ryan a little longer than polite, Knox nervously readjusted herself hoping it was not too obvious as she cleared her throat to answer him.

"I like that the Station is so alive with so many different species and cultures. I am the first Knox host to join StarFleet. It is hard to measure up to my previous accomplishments. Though, I believe I am putting my memories to good use here."

Knox was unsure as to how uncomfortable the Commander was with her being so informal as they socialized. He just always seemed to give off a distinctive accusatory vibe. In her mind she could not help running through everything she may have done wrong in all her lifetimes!

Feeling somewhat adventurous and brave, perhaps due to the delightful bone marrow, Knox sat more comfortably and hoped to continue the conversation. She was curious how Ryan was able to read the Commander so well and if he had always been able to do so.

"So tell me, how did you both meet?"
