Has anyone here read these books or seen the new Netflix series? I enjoyed it a lot. Visually dazzling, but the story is slow and a bit thin, in my opinion. Still, it was good enough for me to binge it all in one day. Anyone else a fan?

Watched the series in one day too, and agree with pretty much everything you've said. Enjoyable and visually gorgeous, but kind of felt like a game of two halves for me I suppose, in that I enjoyed the first half of the season much more so than the back end. The "whodunnit" aspect at the beginning is right up my street but my interest kind of waned a little afterward. So much potential in the premise though, here's hoping there'll be another season.

Would also be curious to hear about the novels.

There was a lot to visually enjoy with that show, if you catch my drift, lol.

Yeah, sometimes the story is so disconnected it was hard for me to care about it. :(

Naira

We just finished watching this. My husband was home sick, lounging on the couch, and happened to put it on. I missed parts of it because I had to keep getting up to take care of sick kids so I had some trouble keeping up with the story, but I thought it was interesting.

Solluk

I rather enjoyed the worldbuilding and some of the characters.
I found the plot resolutions at the end to be a bit rushed and overly neat.
If they make another season, I will watch it.  I like the Cyberpunk genre.

My Primary Shadowfleet Character:

Arrun Dihsar

*clears throat* SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE  :D

(translation: I loved the Takeshi Kovacs books and incredibly pleased that not only did I love the show and felt it stayed fairly true to original novel it's based on BUT that a lot of people seemed to have enjoyed it too! Super hopeful they will do all all the books!)

Jada

I loved it, I thought it worked pretty well the whole way through. Some of the plot developments early on were a bit obscure or rushed, but otherwise it worked fine.

I now regret giving away a copy of Broken Angels I wound up with without reading it.

Academy Chief of the Boat  (Personnel File)

Kirok

I saw one episode.
Guess I need to give it another look.

Species:  Betazoid/Vulcan.
