I am doing a writeup (along with Kirok) on major factions within the ST universe and kind of what's going down with them. This thread showed we needed a bit more visibility. They are just like:
"The Klingon Empire: Relations are shaky. They Klingons and Federation have fought several recent wars but a peace treaty was negotiated in 2393 that ended open hostility. The Gorn are largely part of the Klingon Empire."

Just so folks have some general idea of what's going on.
