PO2 Rayek
[Disguise Lab]

At the Orion Commanders' nod and comment, Rayek nodded.  "Understood, Commander." He turned to his console readily and set to work, seemingly unbothered by the secrecy of the work or the nature of the task assigned to them.

Rayek opened a second screen on the console he was seated at.  This screen didn't get projected up as the other had.  He did a search for bio-scanner schematics.. and sure enough with his current access to Starfleet Intelligence data not only did he get the standard schematics, the search provided him with the latest version of an altered schematic - one that transmitted bio-readings to be picked up by other scanners.  He accessed that file and began reviewing its design and program with a keen and calculating.

The bio-transmitter design was significantly different than what had been used in the Tal'Shiar the one time he'd had to make use of one.   Mentally, he tried to compare the two designs and programs but it was difficult without having the Romulan design schematic at hand.  Then on a hunch... Rayek called up a third screen and added the term Romulan to his search parameters... and sure enough... a file appeared with a schematic for the Romulan design.  Interesting.  He tried again.. this time with the term Cardassian .. again another design.

After less than 5 minutes of searching he had opened a total of 5 screens on the console each with a slightly different schematic..  he even found a file for a bio-dampener...  and began a detailed review of the various technologies.   Making a brainstorm list of his own as to what aspects he liked.. which were useful in the field and which could be adapted.

"I will be happy to help in whatever way I can.  It is the least I can do for Admiral Kirok.  What are your orders?" Toreka replied.

His focus than turned to the Petty Officer, his gaze focused on what they were working on. It wasn't quite what he had in mind, but he would allow them to at least come up with a workable demo that he could at least review and look over. Tritter was a silent critique if you will, he simply walked around the model a few times and just seemed to study it, he didn't comment one way or the other. He also knew that he wasn't much of the technical or squint type as he called it, his skill set was unique and he figured thats why he was brought here.

Jules didn't notice, other than to blink occasionally as he refocused his eyes on the suit versus the moving person behind and around it. Instead he swiped his idea's for the scrubber over, and began a new page, summoning various versions of holographic armor plates and joint gel packs.

The plates were for the most part just varying types of materials. Jules tapped on the page so that a small sticker appeared on each plate, labeling the material, weight, flexibility, and its defense ratings, from heat to electricity to bludgeoning to puncture. Then Jules stood up, and began moving the holographic pieces around him. When he released them, they stayed standing in mid air, as per Jules's holographic preferences. He thought in 3 dimensions a majority of the time, and used location as a way to organize his thoughts in a more productive manner.

He began organizing them in a vague form around him, by overall defense statistics, rarity and cost of the material, and then weight and flexibility. Together in one section would be materials most protective, another section ones most adaptable to suit design, and then organized on a varying spectrum of cost/rarity, with pieces in varying positions between each group of his own identification.

Certain ones that were at more extreme ends of the spectrum in either direction were usually discarded, and removed from the display. Some in an extreme of protectivability were cast onto a desk, for possible functions later in the more intimate designs of the suit.

EQ finished downloading the specs for the borg force fields.  He loaded the information onto a padd, then logged off the terminal.  Then he took the padd and walked over to Jules.

"I think we should be able to integrate the force shields into the suite design pretty easily" EQ said.   He logged into next terminal.  Then started tapping away.

Rayek regarded the other Romulan at her question.  He wasn't the leader of this research group so for the moment he kept silent and returned his attention back to his own work.

...

After some time... Rayek managed to formulate a design plan for a bio-transmitter that could powered by the body's own bio-electric field. It was small enough to be injected sub-dermally or graphed to an inconspicuous part of the body if a quick removal of it was needed.  Rayek was a firm believer in needing to be versatile.

It's silica-circuitry was less likely to be detected than metal.  He'd contemplated bio-circuitry but was not as medically versed as some. Perhaps his design would be improved upon some time in the future, but for now he kept to what he knew.

With the design, fully developed all that was left to do was import it to a replicator and test it.
