Galloway has effectively tagged me, but I am going to belay my response  to give Kintiss, Waters and Rellek a chance to weigh in before I start giving out numbers that might be seen as a measure of our success or failure.

Hey, I hate to sound like a total noob, but what is tagging?

Hello,

'Tagging' is when you direct a post in whole or in part at a specific other individual.  For instance, imagine that you are an Engineer in Engineering.   My character, a Security Officer, walks into Engineering and says, "Engineers Stink!"

Then I might come into the Discussion topic and write, "Tag everyone in Engineering."

This reminds everyone in Engineering that I have written something in the game that may involve their characters, and which they may wish to respond to.

It's like a game of tag. It lets the other player know it's their turn to respond to a conversation or action. It's helpful if there's a lot of posts, when a response to one particular player might get overlooked, they can more easily find it in the Discussion thread.
