Saucer Bridge

Kira looked over to the flight control officer as she addressed her adn the captain as he spoke, Kira nodded, looking over to the widescreen and watching the ship begin the manoeuvre.

Kira had fought against other ship's in worse situations so as soon as she noticed the time to strike, she did it immediately without any doubts that she would miss. Sometimes she thought she was cocky about it and she knew it'd probably catch up with her at some point. But not this time.

"Firing." Kira pressed the execute button and the previously layed out command and fired, making sure the phaser hit as hard as possible. They seemed to all hit, doing a good amount of damage to the other ship. Kira smiled, looking over to the flight control officer and then flicking to the captain. "We hit them."

The Romulan ship fired back, doing considerable damage to the saucer and causing a fire. As Hawke said to put it out, Kira turned around and looked at one of the officers behind her. The bridge had got loud very quickly and Kira struggled to hear herself think. "YOU, PUT THE FIRE OUT. NOW." Kira shouted, an officer behind her went and begun to tend to the fire, doing there best to keep the fire at a minimum.

As the saucer got up behind the Romulan ship and Kira was ordered to fire, she did so. Firing as many different frequency phaser as possible. The ship seemed to do a good amount of damage the the enemy ship. The saucer took another hit straight after, knocking Kira back and dropping her to the floor. She took a hit to the head from one of the consoles behind her and felt a spike of pain but did her best to get up anyway and continue, but she was dissy, there was no arguing that.

Kira looked around the Bridge and identified several spots where fire had begun to spread. She looked over to the fire from before hand and looked at the officer who had attempted to put it out; he was layed on the floor unconscious and when Kira went over to the man and checked his pulse, she got nothing. He was dead.

"Captain." Kira started to put one of the fires out as she begun, trying to keep the saucer afloat for as long as possible. "We've taken a lot of damage, the ship is in poor health. I'm not sure how much we can take." Kira paused for a moment, sighing heavily as she put out one of the small fires. "And we've taken casualties." Kira finished, pointing to the deceased officer on the floor.

Kira went back to the console and looked at the ship diagnostic, she frowned and shook her head, repeating what she said before. "I'm not sure how many more hits we can take captain, but the ship isn't looking healthy." She finished.

[Battle Bridge - Gamma Section]

As the other sections of the Discovery dropped out of warp, the sensors went crazy.  Preprogrammed probes were released just before they slowed, and from those probes and the ship sensors on the Discovery, more sections of the Prometheus class vessels appeared and began to fire on their own with the three actual sections.

=/\= "Admiral, we're on our way." =/\= Nevir called, and directed the helmsman to come about and intercept the Shran's saucer section.

Nevir waited for the right moment, and then directed the section to cross over the Saucer, taking the next two hits meant for the Shran.

=/\= "Shran, this is Commander Tekin.  We'll try to get some heat off of them!" =/\= he said, and he turned to Fala.  "Let's get their attention Awen.  Full spread Omega.  Target anything."

[Stardrive Section, Battle Bridge]

Caelene watched the viewscreen as the various ship sections swooped and dived, curving around the Borg Cube as they fired. It seemed to be taking a fair amount of direct hits, but it was a massive vessel. The Discovery and Shran were taking damage as well; she could only imagine how long it would take to repair... At least the damage control teams were already working on the immediate issues.

The Trill glanced around the bridge, watching her crewmates concentrating on the battle that waged before them. Thus far, they'd been dealing with the pressure well, or so it seemed. Looking back at her own console, she made a few quick adjustments to the power flow.

Curious, Caelene switched menus at her console and scanned the Cube. After a few moments, she heard a chirp and looked over the results. It seemed there were only a few lifesigns left... Of course, she wasn't sure how many were there originally, but a Borg Cube usually held a very large compliment of drones.

She frowned and did a more detailed scan to assess what kind of lifesigns were there. Caelene turned towards T'Ra, "Commander, I'm only picking up a couple Romulan lifesigns on the Cube... If I boost the signal, I might be able to lock onto them and beam them over."

As she waited for a response, Caelene went ahead and began making adjustments to the transporter lock signal. Delving into the fine tuning controls, she adjusted the wavelength and phase shift, then boosted the power to get a better lock. The sheer density of the Cube itself made it more challenging, but eventually she was happy with the adjustments.

If they did beam over some prisoners, they or the Federation could interrogate them at least. And, in theory, the Cube would no longer be firing on them. They didn't know the current situation on the Cube though... Caelene watched the viewscreen, heart pounding, waiting to see what T'Ra's orders were.

Katcha nodded.

"Da Kommander." She replied, before tapping a few controls. "Ve are ready to lower ze shields." She reported,

[Stardrive battle bridge]

Caelene felt the stardrive section of the Shran loop around in an evasive maneuver; she gripped the console tightly with her fingertips and braced her feet to help absorb the impact. She saw the most recent volley from the Borg Cube coming their way, then the viewscreen looked like it was exploding with light as they got hit. Letting her body sway with the impact, Caelene managed to only partly get knocked out of her chair.

"Of course, Commander," Caelene replied quickly. She slid her fingers across the console and initiated a transport lock. One of the lifesigns was too weak for her to lock onto, but she managed to lock onto two.

Tapping her comm badge, she said, =A=Battle bridge to Medical and Security. Bring teams to the bridge immediately; we're transporting over some Romulans - they'll need to be checked out and have escorts. Two incoming. Tam out.=A=

"Da Kommander." She replied, before tapping a few controls. "Ve are ready to lower ze shields." She reported,

It felt like an eternity, but not long after her message, the doors slid open and a medical and security team entered. Caelene nodded towards T'Ra, then glanced over at Kachina, waiting for their shields to go down. She felt the ship quickly change course and held on tightly with one hand, the other poised above the transport button.

The Trill watched her console and waited until she saw the shields drop. "Transporting now!"

Quickly, she pressed the command and waited as two swirls appeared on the bridge, eventually resolving into two Romulan women - a Commander and Sub-Commander, it seemed. The Romulans seemed surprised or taken aback at first, but then anger crossed their faces. The Sub-Commander was holding her side and the Commander was bleeding.

Caelene looked back at the viewscreen, only to be surprised as she saw more shots being fired from the Cube. Either someone was still alive over there or they managed to get an automated firing sequence started before she beamed them over. Regardless, the Discovery and Shran would need to take out the Cube's weapons...
