The Omega Factor (Jor Garan)
« on: April 14, 2017, 04:43:31 am »
T'Ra was excited to break ground, so to speak, on the new project. Though if they were not precise in their calculations and it all fell apart, they would literally break the ground as the molecule exploded and destroyed them all. For this reason, T'Ra felt the Omega molecule was so aptly named. "I am the alpha and the omega, the end and the beginning. None shall come to the Father but by me." One misstep and they would all be blown to Kingdom Come.

The Omega molecule was a highly unstable and believed to be the most powerful substance known to exist. With sufficient amounts of boronite ore the molecule could be synthesized. The explosion of one molecule could destroy all subspace within several light years, as had happened in an attempt to synthesize the molecule in the late 23rd century, killing 127 leading Federation scientists.

After the incident, Star Fleet had suppressed all knowledge of the project, a secret T'Ra only managed to forage in her short tenure as Vice Admiral.  Only now that she was once again in a scientist's blue did she have the time to pursue her interest in this. All that remained now was to await the arrival of a promising young ensign.

"Are you ready, Mr. Jor?"
