[Starbase Columbus - Secure Quarters]
Lying on her stomach on the simple bed in the otherwise empty room, Ash was happy to have a book at least. Upon arriving at the Starbase after the incident, she had been escorted by Starfleet to this room, where she had been required to stay since. In the days that followed, she was permitted to leave on occasion... When being submitted to questioning... Or medical testing... But she hadn't been allowed to visit her friends, nor had she heard anything from them in that time. Having her books provided a small distraction from her relentless thoughts in the otherwise boring silence.
As she was turning the page, she was startled by the opening of the door. Exhaling slowly, she closed her book and moved to the door, ready to follow the officer to whatever room she'd be spending the day in. Surprisingly enough, however, she found herself face-to-face with an unfamiliar ensign holding her personal belongings. "You're free to go, Miss Morgaine. You can catch a shuttle home to your family if you wish, or you can rejoin the crew of the Athena."
"The Athena? I can go back? Where should I go for that?" She didn't hesitate in her response, running back into the room and grabbing the book off her bed before jogging back out and slinging her heavy bag over her shoulder. The ensign looked uncertain, but pointed her down a hallway to the right. "Ummm... Observation Lounge 4 I think? Are you... Are you sure you want to go back? I mean-"
Ash cut the young ensign off with a glare. "You mean?" She propped her hands on her hips and looked up at the taller man with fire in her eyes and her mouth set in a thin line. He took a step backwards and muttered, "Nothing." Shaking her head, Ash started off down the hallway, determined to make it back to her crew. She needed to see if they were okay. And apologize to them... Especially Cat.
[Observation Lounge 4]
She slipped into the room and quietly stood in the corner as people began heading into the Athena-A. She stood in indecision as to whether or not she should follow them, instead taking the moment to just stare at the new ship.
