Fleet Situation May 2016

Ladies, gentlemen and variations thereof,

As you may have noticed, we're... a little different than usual. The past week has provided a lot of questions, and unfortuantely not a lot of answers.

We understand many of you have questions, and we would like to answer them as best as possible. Here is a short timeline of the past week.

On Monday, 25 April 16, a thread was made by the administrator known as Cayden McConnell to ask for criticism on the fleet. Members posted and three of the admins responded with unprofessional conduct and attitude. A compromise was sought, with it ending up with a vote by the members of shadow fleet to elect a new "head" top site administrator. That position, up until that day, had been held by the admin of Mike Anderson, who was the subject of much criticism. A poll was also made to help gauge the support of the admin corps among the playerbase. After twenty four hours, with bullying from some of the administrators, Cayden McConnell was leading the vote for fleet admin by a significant margin, enough to win among all active, non alt players.

Here starts the fun part. Mike Anderson and Jon Tulley, without consulting the other admins, took control of the Skype chat and removed all players who spoke their mind, and removed the poll on Head Admin, Player satisfaction, and the one on complaints or opinions against the admins. The fleet members were understandably annoyed.

A second consolidation was sought to appease both 'sides' and it was voted upon to place Archangel T'Koris, John Brown, and Mike Anderson as the new admin staff.

During this time, Chris Newberry, fleet founder, came on and removed Christian Grix, Mike Anderson, and Jon Tulley from power after discovering he had been IP banned. An hour later, John Brown, better known as Captain Brown of the USS Chin'Toka, suspended the site. Not long after, and somewhat without warning, the previous administration declared they were cutting all ties to start a new RP site elsewhere. The site is being restored independent of any of the former admins other than Cayden and Newberry, but the files are from 2014 that we have to make a backup and restore. All progress since 2014 should be considered lost.

However, we're back now and ready to go!

Live long and prosper, Shadow Fleet.
