Tritter was never the fan of these things, but things had changed dramatically and quickly. Putting things "on paper" as it was turned out to be an almost therapeutic exercise for him. It helped him deal with many things, namely his past. He had a knack for adapting and over coming mental hardships that most lacked, but not many had been through what he did. Things had gotten worse before they had gotten better, his family being away most of the time due to his Husband's work was a significant stressor, but he was never the type to force another to give up what they loved.
But there was a point where it was taking too much out of him mentally, it took a toll on his work, his stress level sky rocketed, he became more grumpy than what he typically was, even though he had that gruff exterior, he tried to not be too much of an asshole to be around. But he got bitter, grumpy and occasionally was out of line. Things had to change and thankfully, they were able to make it work. His Husband and the kids came to stay full time, his Husband was able to line up something for work, as they would go mad otherwise and Tritter knew that, they were too driven to be a house husband. They landed a job chasing fugitives from justice for a well respected multi-agency task force, they also dealt with the depraved criminals that often made up most people's nightmares, he was proud of them, but he worried. If anyone knew their way around a dangerous situation, it was his Husband, they had an uncanny knack for that type of thing.
He was recently promoted to Commander, nothing made him happier than having his family there and being able to pin on his new rank, which meant the world to him. Not long after that, it was announced Admiral Ayedemi would be leaving and he would be taking over the "big chair" if you will, they were big shoes to fill and he was truthfully, worried if he would pass muster. But, having the support of those you care about meant a lot. Nothing felt better than having them present and he would be damned if he was going to let them go anywhere, again.
