T'Ra Jones

T'Ra stepped into the science lab, glad that her shift was beginning. Now that her closest friends were on different ships, she needed something to keep her distracted. Through the window on the far side of the room, she could see the station. She ambled over to a console and began tapping the screen. The chirped softly as it completed its task. So far nothing was amiss, at least not as far as she was concerned, so she had plenty of time to just think. Her thoughts kept returning the krieger waves, a mystery that still bemused T'Ra. The only things she was sure of was that it was a krieger wave converter and that it krieger waves. Other than that, she could only speculate. Typically, what it did was convert energy pulses that were given off by the lambda field generator and the distance between the two machines was over many kilometers. The wave converter that they had found seemed to be a power source of some sorts for a ship, which was rather illogical. So why did the pirates want it? T'Ra had been so deep in thought that when she looked back out through the window, the station was no longer looming in front of them. Now all she could see was the stars.

Lance whipped round. "Cool it, Ms. Meadows. We need everyone ready for if and when this situation blows up. Mr. Cadenza, are we there yet?" he turned away and jokingly put on his best petulant child voice.

When Krol said that, she had a sudden urge to lunge for him. There was something refreshing about the thought, almost like a childhood fantasy that she had always wanted to accomplish and now had the ability to do so. It was definitely tempting, but was it worth it? Bah! Alyssa thought after debating the thought. It was not worth her commission. For the meantime, she was going to stand there, exactly where she was, arms crossed, until she got a better idea of what was going on than what was previously told to her.

As Kirok was listening to the hail, he glanced back at Lt Meadows.  "Lieutenant, you may wish to report to the transporter room.  We are preparing to receive the refugees from the outpost.  One of them, will require medical attention" he said.

Kirok then tapped his com badge.  =/\= Kirok to Chief of Engineering Price =/\= I am sending you coordinates to transport five refugees from the outpost.  The atmosphere is somewhat dense and I am having a hard time locking targets on them.  Can you see what you can do to get them up here safely?  A security detail will meet you in the transporter room.  = Kirok out =/\= he said.

Alyssa rolled her eyes. Why did they have to contain such important details from until the last minute. It seems that it was just Starfleet's way of being an ass to all those that served her. How wonderful the day will be when Starfleet gets a wake up call that the Universe is not as nice as it may seem. What further agitated her was that the Engineering and Medical departments on a starship were like the maid services whenever the Command officers made a mistake. The woman nodded to the men on the bridge and walked off, awaiting whatever damage she was expected to clean up.

Raymundo clipped on his holster and left his duty station, glad to have been rotated out of guarding the brig. As he exited the security office another security crewmen meet up with him and they made there way to the main transporter room. Entering, Ray walked up to the senior officers and saluted, then him and the other security crewman took up positions on ether side of the control board and waited.

Taras Cadenza

A few minutes later, the Churchill had entered orbit of the planet. The planet of the refugees, so to speak.
"Well... here we are." announced Taras, as the planet consumed almost the whole viewscreen.

Just as Kirok had said, the atmosphere was rather dense.  So instead of seeing the blue and green of land and water all they could see of the planet was cloud cover.  Kirok hailed the outpost =/\= Churchill to outpost =/\= Stand by for transport.  =/\= Churchill out =/\= he said.  Then he tapped his com badge =/\= Kirok to Chief Price.  =/\=  We are now within standard transporter range.  You may proceed with bringing the refugees up.  =/\= Kirok out. =/\= he said.

Price would've been offended by the crewman's tone, but he considered that to a Vulcan passing information like that was simply logic. Still, he couldn't keep the tone of sarcasm out of his voice. =/\= Thanks, crewman. =/\= He energised the transporters, boosting the gain on the targeting sensors simultaneously to maintain the transport. He looked at the prisoners, then tapped his combadge =/\= Price to Krol. Our esteemed guests are on board. =/\=

The five refugees materialized on the transporter pads without any problem.  One of them had a broken arm.  One of his arm hung in a make shift sling.  "Thanks for the lift, Starfleet" one of the prisoners said flippantly.

Connor smiled at the comment. "No problem. Although next time, the lift might be to the courthouses on Earth, so watch yourself." He told the man, leaving the prisoners in the capable hands of the security team and heading back to the bridge.

He crossed straight to Krol, and spoke under his breath. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have called you out in front of the bridge like that." He held out his hand. "Lets make a deal. In future, you consult senior staff before making big decisions, and in return, I don't annoy you to the point that you want to kill me?" he asked.

"We'll see about that, Startfleet" the refugee mutter under his breath.   He had a knowing smirk on his face, like he knew something that gave his words credibility.  He took a tentative step off the transporter pad.

Raymundo walked forward and gestured to his partner and said, "All right, follow this crewman single order and well escort you to where you will be staying. Any thing that you may do just remember, there are five of you and a ship full of us. If we make it to our holding area without any trouble I will see that you get your choice in dinner. Now file up."

The prisoners lined up with Raymundo taking up the rear and they prepared to make there way out of the transporter room.

Raymundo waved him to step over to LT Medows and said," Doctor, is his condition critical enough that he would need to be in sickbay? Or is it something that can be treated in the Brig?"
