Season one of the USS Churchill SIMM

Mission 01: Forgotten   June 20 - July 9, 2011

The Churchill is assigned to border patrol after several cargo ships and trade convoys disappear from the space lanes near its uncharted frontier. A distress call brings the ship to the scene of a pirate attack. Though too late to save the merchants, the Churchill finds a trail to follow, one that leads them to a fight against a enemy long hidden in the shadows...

Mission 02: Trapped   July 12 - July 31, 2011

With Starfleet stretched too thin to throughly investigate the matter, the Churchill is sent by itself to scout a suspected pirate base. Soon after arriving at the location, the Churchill has its communications jammed, engines disabled and shields knocked offline, before being tractored into a mysteriously advanced facility, one that is far too well equipped for mere pirates and from where escape may well be impossible...

Mission 03: Lost   September 5 - October 6, 2011

With one of their own still unaccounted for, the Churchill attempts to enlist help in an rescue operation. Instead, the ship is ordered to quietly and speedily escort a Romulan diplomatic envoy to high-level negotiations on a neutral planet. Despite the secrecy of the orders, the Churchill finds itself far off course and losing power rapidly. The crew has to repair and re-steer the ship quickly, or a distressed diplomat might be the least of their problems...

Mission 04: Lurking Beneath   October 11 - November 22, 2011

The Churchill continues its search for its missing crewmember, but Starfleet is unusually calm about having one of their own as a prisoner. The ship pinpoints another potential pirate base, but another rash of raids has the Churchill being deployed to protect ships delivering humanitarian aid to planets still recovering from the same supernova that had destroyed Romulus. Catching a pirate scout spying on them, the Churchill gives chase, but its final destination is quite unexpected...

Mission 05: Awakening   November 26, 2011 - February 17, 2012

Relations between the Alpha Quadrant powers deteriorate as each side points fingers at who it thinks is responsible for the pirate attacks. The Churchill is contacted by a Starfleet admiral who claims to know where another pirate base is. Dispatched to eradicate the threat, the Churchill instead finds an undefended Klingon outpost that houses a threat of another kind...

Mission 06: Lifeline   February 22  - March 16, 2012

The raids have taken their toll and the attacks are becoming more bold; worlds throughout the Federation are on the brink of widespread famine. The Churchill is deployed to reinforce the security of key shipping lanes near Procyon. Instead of an attack on the shipping lanes, however, the pirates aim to hijack a nearby communications satellite. The Churchill has to keep this vital channel open or the Federation will begin to lose touch with itself...

Mission 07: Inquisition   March 19 - May 6, 2012

The pirates have begun to engage in open conflict with Starfleet forces. The bizarre mixture of ships and technology reveal that the backers of the pirates stretch beyond borders and have influence in high places. The Churchill is tasked with tracking a suspicious admiral, the same one who had given them misinformation prior. The trail brings them back to Earth and to Starfleet Command, where everyone is a potential suspect...

Mission 08: Prison Break   May 11 - May 30, 2012

The attack on a Federation penal colony was both unexpected and unavoidable; with Starfleet's resources so thin, the penal colony was understaffed and underprotected. However, the colony is located in an area that is neither tactical or strategic, making the attack baffling. The Churchill is tasked with locating the liberated criminals while resolving the mystery of why they were taken in the first place...

Mission 09: Flight   June 5 - June 17, 2012

The sudden loss of contact with a mining colony worries Starfleet since it was a source of badly-needed duranium. When sent to investigate, the Churchill finds the colony abandoned, with no signs of conflict. Yet there had to have been a reason for the miners to leave so abruptly...

Mission 10: Standstill   June 20 - July 12, 2012

The conflict with the pirates has reached a stalemate. Offers for negotiations are accepted cautiously and with great reservation. When the dialogue begins, it quickly becomes apparent that the pirates are stalling. What they are stalling for isn't quite clear, however, and when the Churchill is sent for a prisoner exchange, it is also tasked with finding out what the pirates are keeping from the negotiators. What they find will seal the fate of the Federation, for better or worse...
