Master Chief Petty Officer
Senior Enlisted Commanders are those enlisted players who have worked their way through the enlisted rank structure and attained a senior position as Chief of the Boat or Master Chief Petty Officer of Shadow Fleet.

Chief of the Boat

The Chief of the Boat (COB) is the most senior enlisted player on a SIMM, responsible for the welfare, training and development of all enlisted players beneath him or her. Holding a rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer or Master Chief Petty Officer, the Chief of the Boat will be an Enlisted Persons Course (EPC) graduate with a considerable amount of experience in the fleet and will hold certain moderator privileges on the forum.

The selection process for Chief of the Boat depends on the level at which the COB is operating. If the COB is operating at the same level as a Second Officer, the CLO team (Commanding and Executive Officer of the SIMM) will appoint a person to the position. Consultation with the affected Task Group CO and the CLO groups is preferred, but a complete vetting is not required. If the COB is operating at the same level as an XO or CO, the candidate must be vetted by the CLO group and approved by the admins.

Master Chief Petty Officer

Master Chief Petty Officer is the highest enlisted rank which can be obtained. The selection process for Master Chief Petty Officer is at the discretion of the players Commanding Officer and requires approval from the site administrators. This player should have vast experience on Shadowfleet along with an exemplary record. Only one MCPO will be permitted on shadowfleet at any given time.
