SHE'S HAVING KITTENS ABOUT IT! (Hrafn and Dr. Ta-Li Yona)

[Sickbay - 2 weeks before Sapphire is due to have kittens]

"But Mammy, Uncle Ta-Li said I had to help with Sapphire if I wanted one of the kittens!" Lamar protested and wriggled trying to get free of her hand holding his.

"That's all well and good but I haven't actually said you can have one yet!" his mother countered, earning her a sorrowful look from her youngest son.  "Only good boys get cats."

"Well Tidu isn't good all the time and he has a cat." Tidu said mutinously.

"That's true I guess." Hrafn answered and looked around for the doctor.  She had in fact agreed with the doctor that Lamar could have a kitten but only if he showed that he could take care of it, himself for the most with just having assistance with the tasks that were too heavy for him to do on his own, or anything e.g. inoculations and check ups which would have to be performed by medical staff.  He however would be responsible for booking the check ups or at least telling his mother that they were due.  Hrafn was going to monitor this because with the indications that there was something going on with Lamar delaying some development things, he might not fully grasp this and it wouldn't be his fault.

"Mammy, you know I help look after McCavity and Mr Mestopheles, so you know I can do it.  And if I'm good can I call her Lapis?  One of the people that work for you that grow the crystals said there's a nice stone called Lappy Lazzy, I think that's it."

"Lapis Lazuli..." his mother answered semi-automatically correcting her son, and turned to the Ensign on the desk.  "Is Dr. Yona in his office... I have his junior vet here for him!"
