Darsyn Syntranos

[Holodeck]

==Training Scenario continued...==

As Darsyn waited for his team leader to answer, he thought about different routes he could take. Talking to the locals might backfire, but he might get lucky and find someone willing to help. On the other hand, if anyone got suspicious, it could end badly. But he had a feeling that anything other than the most direct route would definitely lead to trouble.

He was pretty good at spotting potential danger, as he developed a sort of sixth sense even without his empathic abilities. He also wanted to try said abilities on these aliens and see if he could read them. It was a great ability to use to tell if people were up to something or just flat lying. But if they were a telepathic race, that could backfire and blow all their covers...

Goran looked around at their location and surroundings before replying. Everything seemed kosher. The away teams clothing appeared to match that of the locals. And they had made sure to bring human looking crewman as well. From what he had seen so far, a Klingon would have stuck out like a sore thumb.

"Go ahead. But stay within eye sight." he said. "We don't need to misplace anyone else." he added as he turned to the rest of the team. "Thomas, take Rivera, Stone and Benson. Go over two blocks and then head up toward our destination. I don't want all eight of us bunched up in one group."

He watched as the others split off and then nodded to Syntranos.

"Move out."

Darsyn made sure his phaser was still in his pocket before moving ahead. It definitely helped that he was wearing a costume, but he wondered if it was something the locals might not appreciate. He wasn't into fashion like his sister, but he didn't want to stick out like a sore thumb either.

As he moved, he tried his best to look less like a tourist and more like his role. As he did so, he trained his mind on trying to get a literal feel of the place through his empathic abilities. Some might consider that cheating, but when it helped keep the team alive, all the better.

He made his way about a block or so away from the team, but remained within line of sight, careful not to enter any alleyways or get lost behind other obstacles. Nothing really stood out to him right away as he had never been to this planet before, so he really didn't know where to look if there was anything odd.

This whole situation is odd. But what do I know. I'm just a tac officer.

As he found a semi private area - as private as one could get in public - he focused his mind on the surrounding area as far as he could reach to try and catch any sign of their target.

As they made their way North, Goran couldn't help but feel that something was wrong. He was worried about the safety of his team. If anyone got hurt because some damn scientist didn't check in on time, He could still see Syntranos scouting up ahead. So far, they hadn't encountered any resistance. You would think this would settle Goran but it didn't. In his experience, the easier things went, the bigger the issue you ended up with. Just as this thought crossed his mind, a man called out from across the street and then he and his companion headed their way.

"Hey Joe. Look at this squad of Bulls." the first said to his partner. "You fellas looking to bop someone?" he seemed to ask Goran. Unfortunately, he had no clue what the man was talking about.
