Leanna Mazal

[Main Promenade - Coffee on the Corner]

After wandering around whatever deck she had stopped on, Leanna had found a quiet spot and allowed herself to just shut off from everything and meditate, completely clearing her mind and raising her mental barriers so she didn't have any interference. She remained like that for sometime until she felt as though she was ready to continue and get on with things. Of course she wasn't sure what happen with Alex but it felt inevitable for her to end it now before it got to deep and complicated and knew she was doing the right thing.

What she needed was to surround herself with her friends and believed that true romance would happen when least expected it too and she was fine with that. So once she had finished she had made her way back to the Main Promenade and her favourite coffee shop treating herself to a banana steamer and slice of chocolate cake. Actually feeling relaxed for the first time all day and was in the middle of eating a forkful of cake when Seamus appeared looking worried and relieved at the same time.

" Lea there you are, I was worried about you after Alex came to mine and told me what happened then when you didn't answer when I called at yours sent me into full panic mode"He said sitting down opposite her.

" I'm sorry Seamus I just needed to clear my head just with everything that had gone on today and then .... she paused " I think its time I ended things with Alex, I should never of started this fling with him but it felt right at the time " she replied hoping that Seamus would understand then again he had been her rock through all of the bad times and knew she could count on him.

" I understand Lea and you know I'll support you with all of that, I don't think it was wrong what you did as you needed a little fun but your doing the right thing"He said reaching out to give her a reassuring pat on her hand making her smile.

" I knew you would Seamus and I know your always there for me, so how about you join me and we can chat some more?" she suggested and Seamus nodded before placing his order and the two friends continued their conversation.

Michael J. Tritter

#136

[Locations: Security, Main Engineering]

Tritter had been reviewing their targets personnel file, as well as locating where they currently were at the Base. At this time, they were assigned to primary engineering to repair some environmental system damage. Tritter had read through their past extensively, they shared a similar background, having experience trauma and loss in life... But their outcomes could be no different, as one of them was killing and the other was out catching the bad guys of the world. He was ready to move, he would than rise to his feet and motion for the Cadet to come along with him.

He would than grab a phaser rifle on his way out, he had the rest of the gear he would need for the upcoming task. He figured there would not be much for violence due to the fact that he knew that their vigilante did not like to harm innocent people. He knew that they had a deep sense of loyalty to those they trusted and he knew that they trusted the others in the Engineering department. Tritter may seem like a grumpy bastard, but he knows how people work and he knows how to use a situation to his advantage.

Tritter than made his way out of Security and made his way to main engineering, which was not far. He knew that things would go either one of two ways, the vigilante would either flee or engage him in some type of hand to hand combat. Secretly, he preferred the latter, while he wasn't ever the type to be out to seek a fight, sometimes, the challenge is enjoyable and mentally stimulating.

Once he entered Main Engineering, he felt all eyes on him, as if someone was staring holes into him. It would take a few moments, but they would eventually return to work. It didn't take long for the grapevine to start and word to get around that he was here. He than noticed their intended target, who would than turn from their work and face the Executive Officer, there was a slightly twisted grin on their face. The vigilante knew what would happen from here, and whatever the outcome, he welcomed it.

Tritter would than make his way towards the other man, who was about six inches shorter than Tritter, but they were well built. The two men locked eyes for what seemed like an eternity, it was as if they were sizing each-other up. It would not take long for it to escalate from there, the Lieutenant initiated the "scuffle" if you will. The man had attempted to first deliver a well placed and nasty looking right hook to the Executive Officer, which did not end up landing, as he expected it. Tritter than returned the favor with a carefully placed left jab to the side of the man's face, which while it missed mostly due to their attempt to side step him, it ended up catching the lower side of the jaw and it was more than enough to rattle their cage if you will.

The Lieutenant was more than angry at this point, it was as if the blow started a fire within the man, they in turned rushed straight at Tritter, who was for the most part, prepared for the attack. He steeled himself in his position and shifted his center of gravity downwards, like a football player expecting a tackle. The Lieutenant didn't deliver enough force to actually knock him off center, but they did end up hitting his midsection. Tritter proceeded to grab the Lieutenant's left arm, pulling it from being buried in Tritter's midsection and moving to rotate it behind their back. They managed to slide out of his strong grip.

The Lieutenant answered that with a strong elbow to the right side of the Executive Officer's face, which cut open a spot to the side of and below his right eye, as well as some residual impact to his nose, which was enough to make it bleed, but not enough to actually break it. Tritter however, was much calmer than the angry Lieutenant. Tritter delivered a quick but painful blow to the man's jaw once again, he than stepped to the side and placed one to their ribs, which was enough to knock the wind out of them for a moment. Tritter moved in closer, for the kill if you will, but the Lieutenant than rushed him again, this time he hit him like a freight train.

Tritter wasn't expecting it, so he ended up going down, but he wasn't left without tricks of his own. Even on his back, he was prepared and knew what to do. The vigilante than would attempt to punch the Executive Officer in the side of the head, which was their undoing. Tritter grabbed their hand after they delivered the blow, wrapping it with his much larger one, he than used their hand to control the rest of their body. The technique required the blow to land so he had the time to grab their hand/fist. He would than force them to turn their back to him to avoid having their arm broken, Tritter was manipulating the instinct of self preservation of the other man. He proceeded to rise to his feet, finishing forcing the arm behind their back. He proceeded to wrench it into a highly uncomfortable arm bar, which the Lieutenant attempted to head butt him as a result, but Tritter was no naivete, he had such attempted on him before and he knew to stand in a proper position to the left or right of a suspect to avoid such a trick.

However, such a trick landed the Lieutenant being forced down hard against the deck, Tritter dropped him like a sack of potatoes and the loud exhale, with the sound of a few ribs cracking could be heard. He was rough, but he used the amount of force necessary to take down the other man. He would than drove his left knee into their back as he would proceed to handcuff the man. He would than proceed to yank the other man to his feet. The Lieutenant was oddly silent, he was defiant and strong to the end. The Executive Officer than actually took a look around, everyone was staring at him, which he thought was more than slightly curious, but he dismissed that for now.

He than tapped his comm badge =/\= Commander Tritter to Captain Ayedemi, one vigilante in custody, returning to Main Security" =/\= His tone was oddly calm and relaxed, despite what had happened He than proceeded to wait a moment for the Lieutenant to get their balance back, as they had been put through the wringer if you will. He also took a further moment to look them over, he knew they needed medical attention, not just from the fight, but untreated injuries from past conflicts. He than read the man his rights and lead them away towards main security.

Michael J. Tritter

[Location: Main Security, Interrogation Room 3]

Tritter had secured their "catch" in the Interrogation Room. The Executive Officer would than take a few moments to mentally prepare himself for the interrogation for their vigilante, he had also taken some time to study the vigilante as the man sat there, he was getting a grasp for their personality and understand what makes them tick. After about five minutes, which gave him time to understand them, as well as give them a chance to stew. He could sense that they were getting a big stir crazy.

The Executive Officer than made his way into the Interrogation Room, he than took a seat across from the Vigilante. The two men had remained focused on each-other. After a moment, the vigilante started laughing than said, "I figured this would happen eventually" Tritter than took a moment before he replied with "You could not have expected otherwise Lieutenant. I read your file and I understand your background" The Lieutenant's face shifted slightly, it was a bit of a pained look on their face.

The Vigilante remained silent, they remained focused on the Executive Officer, the man was oddly quiet. Tritter proceeded to dig further, he knew their past and how to dig the information out of them. He than asked "Tell me about your wife" The Lieutenant looked curiously at the Executive Officer, he took several moments to think it over before he replied. He seemed to bristle slightly at the mention of it. He than growled lowly said "She was killed by some dirt bags who killed her for the paper in her wallet" Tritter listened intently, he already knew the story behind it, but he didn't feel a need to interrupt them.

The Lieutenant than leaned in, placing his forearms on the table. He than added the following, "Those types need to be eliminated, the justice system does nothing to stop them and I had to do something to put an end to it" Tritter shifted a bit, he listened carefully to the Lieutenant. He than added "And who decided you were the one to do that?" Tritter posed the question to get the Lieutenant to elaborate. The Lieutenant than answered with, "I did, because there was people killing and harming each other because of people choosing to be involved in immoral acts. Innocent people do not deserve to be harmed or killed because of dirt bags" Tritter nodded slightly, he than added "No one does deserve that, you look down on the justice system, but if you are motivated by justice as you claim, why should you have the right to take their life because you think they are guilty?"

The Lieutenant looked at him, he growled angrily at the Executive Officer and didn't reply. He than stated "I killed them because they deserved it. Now, I want to be left the hell alone" Tritter than made his way over to the Lieutenant, he than proceeded to cuff them behind the back and escorted them out. He returned them to the brig cell that they had been assigned, so that they could be handed over for judicial proceedings. Tritter on the other hand, proceeded to make his way back to his office.

He than took a seat in his office, proceeding to further read through the Lieutenant's service record, as well as the information regarding what happened to their wife. He proceeded to write up the arrest report, as well as the After Action Report surrounding what had happened for the higher ups. He really was a bit torn by their situation, their backgrounds are similar... As far as being exposed to violent, bad people in their lives, at both young and adult ages, yet the two of them could not have turned out further opposites from each other. He knew their Vigilante lacked the importance of having a family that had your back, he knew all the man had was his wife, which he had lost. Tritter was thankful for his family, both his kids, Husband, Brother, Sister and their families. That meant the world to him and they are the reason he is the man he is today. He came a long way from the bruised and beat up kid who ran away with his two younger siblings soo long ago, and had he not had them, he would likely have ended up very similar to the man he just returned to the brig.
