Basic Premise: YourMedicalShip has solved the issue of a Plague in the Bunari Capital City, and this has changed the Bunari leadership's philosophy about the importance of modern medicine.  Unfortunately, the Bunari have responded to this revelation by capturing the away teams and promising to hold them for 20 years.  Meanwhile, the Bunari flagship is threatening YourMedicalShip with destruction if they do not transmit the totality of their medical data and then withdraw from Bunari space.  Now YourMedicalShip is in the uncomfortable position of taking their peaceful medical platform into battle to protect the captured crew.

Starting Point: YourMedicalShip's away teams have been captured and YourMedicalShip is threatened with destruction if they do not transmit the totality of their medical data and then withdraw from Bunari space.

End Goal: YourMedicalShip disables the Bunari flagship and rescues their away teams, finally coming to a peaceful arrangement with the Bunari people for medical aid.

Story points that must be passed?:

I) YourMedicalShip's away teams have been captured and YourMedicalShip is threatened with destruction if they do not transmit the totality of their medical data and then withdraw from Bunari space.

II) With highly limited tactical resources, YourMedicalShip must battle the Bunari flagship using every trick and guile at their disposal to come out ahead.

III) After YourMedicalShip's departments come up with a series of brilliant tactics and techniques to give you the edge against the Bunari flagship, YourMedicalShip is victorious.  But the away teams are still captured on the surface, held behind transporter scramblers.

IV) Meanwhile, on the surface, the away team members are planning their own escape from the Bunari.  Coming up with a plan, they trick or overpower their captors and begin an escape from the High Ascendant's palace, where they are being held.   However, their valiant escape hits a road block as more and more of the Elite Bunari Palace Guards confront them.  Things begin to look grim for our heroes.   The away teams can contact the ship via their communicators, but they cannot be evacuated through the transporter scramblers.

V) Science, Operations, and Engineering officers on YourMedicalShip frantically brainstorm ideas to penetrate the Bunari transporter scramblers so that the away teams can be beamed out of harm's way.  Meanwhile, the escaping away team members on the surface are on the brink of re-capture.

VI) The YourMedicalShip's spaceborne officers finally hit on a solution.  (Example potential solution- the shuttles on the surface have had their drive systems disabled, but all other systems are still online and remote-accessible.  The shuttle's emergency transporter systems can be used as a booster and relay for YourMedicalShip's transporters, forging a powerful link that can overcome the transporter scramblers and get the away teams beamed up.  Many other solutions are doubtless possible as well.)

VII) The away teams are beamed up.   The Bunari flagship is disabled.  The Bunari are no longer a threat.  The High Ascendant contacts YourMedicalShip, apologizing for capturing the away teams and asking to pay any price for the medical knowledge he seeks.  His near-death experience deeply troubled him, as he saw himself and other strong Bunari in the inescapable grip of death.  He does not want his people to regress back into their ignorant past, waiting for the next irresistable illness to destroy their civilization.

VIII) YourMedicalShip Captain explains that it was never necessary to take hostages or threaten an attack to get the Federation's help with medical knowledge.  The Federation freely shares such technology with spacefaring species who request it.  Further, the Federation would gladly send instructors to help teach Bunari doctors.  The Bunari must learn more than medicine.  They must learn the benefits of peaceful cooperation.

IX) The High Ascendant says that this type of attitude is also new to his people- the idea that something might be shared freely and generously without being demanded or taken by virtue of strength.  But he promises that he will be open to cooperation with the Federation, opening a new chapter in the future history of his culture.  As a gesture of goodwill, he will repair the disabled shuttles and return them to YourMedicalShip.
