Hey Guys,

AS most trek fans are aware the new star trek show starts some time this month. Its not going to be on the main TV channels but to shown on Netflix. Has this been aired in the states yet.

If so what are you thoughts so far.

Kinley Garrison

It hasn't been aired here yet, but I don't have Netflix, so I wouldn't know much.

We're in Starfleet here. Weird is part of the job description.

Actually they have pushed the start back to May and here in the States, it'll be on CBS All Access

Pretty much everyone outside of the US will have it available on Netflix.

Not a problem. And from what I understand it had to do with production stuff.

I guess may isn't to far away now. I have watched all the endings to the shows rather than the rest of the series lol

I'm kind of hoping for a bit more creativity with alien species in the new show. More budget put into design/prosthetics, more thought put out into their homeworlds and how it would influence the evolution of their biology. Aliens from heavier-gravity worlds should be stronger than humans and ones from lighter-gravity worlds and moons should be weaker, etc. If any series has a fandom that overthinks these things, it's Star Trek, and it's time for the show to catch up with the fandom in that regard.

I don't know how I'll manage to watch it though, because I'm really against the idea of paying for another streaming service just for one show. It's the principal of the thing.

I'm in agreement but I guess they are rushing now to get out on air for May
