Quote from: Michael J. Tritter on January 04, 2017, 03:20:50 AM

Tritter listened carefully to the Lieutenant as the man spoke to him. He would nod slightly once the man was done, he would than add "I understand Lieutenant, as a Father to another, it can be hard. I myself, am a divorced Father and it took a long time for me to explain to my children that despite their Mom having left and not seeing them, that they still are loved. We don't have an Assistant Department Head" He was calm and deliberate as he spoke, he knew all to well what the man was going through.

Tritter than heard an interruption coming from a distance away, the man had pretty keen hearing and he tended to not miss a beat. He would than look at the Lieutenant and stated, "Looks like we have company" As he heard the Comm go off, he sighed a bit, thrills. He would than tap his comm badge "Ensign Davidson, please escort Captain Jett to my office, advise him to have his Transport Paperwork ready" The man's tone indicated that he hoped this would not be a waste of his time. He would than look to the Lieutenant "Time for my favorite part of the job" There was an obvious sarcastic undertone to his comment, as he really loved dealing with these types of matters. After a lengthy and successful career in law enforcement, the man is relegated to looking at transfer paperwork and taking care of these types of things, a real upgrade if you will.

Thomas looked at the officers to give him the clear to enter the office.  After a couple of minutes a Luitenant walked up to Thomas and said "The Chief of Security is ready to see you, Mr. Jett.  Please make sure that you have all your documentation in proper order before the the meeting.  Have a nice day Mr. Jett"

Tom nooded as he understood the statement by the Officer.

[Chief's of Security Office]

He entered the room and he noticed another invidual standing there.  He camly walked in and nooded to the other officer.  He looked somewhat familiar but was not able to place the individual in his memory.  He had the strange feeling that he has met the person before.
He gently took a PADD and placed it into the Chief of Security desk.  "Look, I am no security expert by any means ...but I am pretty sure that relics are not the most dangerous items"

He waited for a second to let the Chief Pick up the Padd and he began to explain.  "Look, they are ancient Andorian Relics ... not it's true that there is a supposed curse on them...but I am pretty sure that Starfleet does not does not use a "curse" as a reason for extra security....please just approve it so Ican get out of your hair and back to my ship"  Tom added

"Of course, Captain. I'll go ahead and start evaluating the damage to the base, and report my findings back to Utopia in case more assistance will be required from the rest of the team." Zeno replied before turning and leaving the office in an almost military walking, consistent of MACO training. The disguised admiral was going all out to confused the Captain and pull the largest prank to date on him, but it could also eventually backfire on him too.

He just had to get out of here, disappear and get to the Security Office as the admiral to deal with four Ferengi's that caused a nightmare not so long ago. As soon as the disguised Admiral was out of the office, he made a beeline for the nearest turbo lift. As the turbo lifts open, he sighs in relief that it's emptied and enters. As soon as the doors swish closed, he deactivates the holo disguise revealing his Admiral uniform and pips. Hiding the holo device in a pocket, "Security Office."

The turbo lifts start moving downwards at a good rate of speed but not the fasted like during a red alert scenario.

[Main Security Office]

As soon as he walked off the turbolift, he heard the commotion going on and decided to offer a piece of advise. "Mr. Tritter, if he's complaining about the inspection of his goods, why not do a full ship inspection to make sure his freighter up to snuff. That should take what, three to four days if Engineering has the time to do it? If not, a few weeks delay...."

Tritter heard another individual enter Main Security, he looked towards the Admiral, a mischevious glint formed in his eye, now normally, he would salute the man, but he had papers in one hand and a situation he was in the middle of, he replied with "Excellent suggestion Sir"

Tritter pondered for a moment, he shifted his gaze to the new Officer for a moment, and than back to Jett, he took the man's padd and proceeded to flip through their cargo manifest. He knew he didn't ask, but he knew the man was not foolish enough to take it from him. He studied the manifest and authorizations closely, he found several errors that he could use to hold them up if he wanted to be an asshole. He delibritely rook longer than normal to let the man stew.

Once he was bored of it, Tritter looked over at him, he didn't want to deal with them on his own, as he had better used of his time and more interesting things to do, but he would voluntold the task to the new Lieutenant, "Lieutenant Marshall, front and center" is stated, heavily accented voice confident as the order was given.

LK Reede

[Brig]

Ensign LK Reede, was aware that she was a junior officer and shouldn't be making decisions regarding the jailed Ferengi's. It just seemed that they would be making plans for an escape and needed to be put under heavier guard.

Well, no use thinking about it. Time to bring up the matter with Lt. Tritter, she thought.

=/\= Reede to Lt. Tritter. I suggest we limit the visitors the Ferengi's receive, sir. I mean, we should have a strict list of persons able to visit our prisoners, sir. =/\=

Reede stepped behind the control console and stared at the Ferengi's as she waited for her orders.

Cadet, they were under orders for no visitors, if individuals are deviating from my directive on that, bring it to my attention. Any visitors for them need to be cleared through myself or Captain Stafford. If you are uncomftorable telling them or they challenge you, do inform me" His tone was direct, although he doubted she was to blame for his directive not being followed.

Steve Marshall

Rounds of the station

Steve saw that all was under control  he decided that he would patrol the station he needed to get to the place and it would be ideal going to check on Katie. The Station wasn't particularly quiet every where he looked there were people  going about their business.

Steve walked passed the eduction area and saw Katie talking to a group off kids for the first time since she arrived here. Stopping near the observation area he watched incoming ships and shuttles arrive he spent what seemed like ages there....

Tritter grumbled to himself, he wasn't too happy at this point, the man was not a fan of being ignored. He would than state the following to himself, "The best way to get a job done is to do it yourself" He decided to involve another one of his team, since apparently Lieutenant Marshall was keen on ignoring the Chief and he was not all too happy at the moment about it. He tapped his comm badge and said "Lieutenant Tritter to Ensign Reede, Ensign Johnson is on his way to relieve you, we are going to search a Civilian Freighter that the paperwork does not add up on. Meet me at my office, please" His tone was a bit agitated, but that was due to the fact that he was being ignored, although the Ensign may take it as if he is mad at her. He did his best to sound "polite" to her. He tapped foot impatiently as he waited for the reply, he was a bit edgy due to being ignored - but thats a problem he will take care of later.

Quote from: Sevoc on January 05, 2017, 03:27:36 AM

{Medical Bay}

"Why, yes Doctor," Sevoc began, "the images that appear when I am able to enter REM are definitely not my own. I have seen images of places on Earth I have never been to and there has been a recurrence of times when I was under the effects of the virus. Until now, I have not experienced any pain aside from a minor headaches that are barely noticeable, even by human standards."

He was usually a private person, but since he and the doctor had melded, he felt more comfortable disclosing the symptoms of what plagued him.

Jamie listened to Sevoc and kept notes by recording the conversation.  She kept quiet but her mind was working quickly with her analysis.  Diagnosis that dealt with the mind was always the most difficult.  It was easier to heal the body.  The realization of this made her take a deep breath as she thought about what she was going to say.  Her eyes momentarily fell on the pictures on her desk top.  They lingered on the picture of her and Cayden on their honeymoon and her next sigh was of longing instead of the frustration of figuring out what was wrong with Sevoc.
Jamie shook it off and her eyes flickered on her mother in the rainforest.  "These images..." She turned back to the science officer, "... What are they off? I mean do you know?  Have you researched it?"
It wasn't unusual for memories to be transferred from one mind to another during a mind meld, she wondered if it could have been her memories he was dreaming about.  One thing she wouldn't do was to suggest that to her patient.  Sometimes in the desperation of curing yourself you'd grasp at straws and believe things.  Even if they weren't true.  She only hoped that it was only images of Earth for she doubted Cayden would appreciate her sharing their more personal memories.
Jamie cleared her throat and tried not to grin at that thought.  All she needed was for Sevoc to fall in love with Cayden.  "I'd like to try several medications that I have formulated for your particular metabolism.  I've been working on them since you told me you were having trouble sleeping.  What do you think?"

"The first images," Sevoc began, "appear to be, from my research, in Brazil. Another image was not on Earth, but somewhere that looked similar. I researched that as well and it happened to be from a planet that was on a mission from your previous posting on board the Athena. Epsilon Indi was that planet."

While researching the images, he figured since her service record was public knowledge it was perfectly acceptable to bring it up. If not down right logical.

"As far as a treatment, Doctor," he continued, "I am more than willing to try anything. Since the incident, I have noticed a steady decrease in my efficiency. Being as we are mostly judged by human standards, it has not been as noticeable as it would on a Vulcan science vessel. Also, since our last conversation, I have been contemplating partaking in the kolinahr ritual, but that is only as a last resort. I do, however, have no doubts about your abilities as a physician."

Since the meld, Sevoc knew he could trust the station's new chief medical officer without hesitation. Even if she acted less Vulcan than her appearance would indicate.

Shani

Quote from: Hust Kinun on January 05, 2017, 02:59:57 AM

[Quarters]

He finally awoke, and slipped out of bed. He put on some civilian clothes, and left the room, walking to the promenade, where he began wandering, trying to find somewhere to go, but also to keep an eye on the place around.

Technically, he was still listed as Missing, but nobody had come to confirm that fact yet. Nor had he found the will in him to remove that qualifier from him. He was doing his job, for at least as long as he still held that job. He didn't know where he was going, but he wandered around nonetheless, hoping for something to distract him.

He had a phaser with him, concealed under his jacket, but he didn't think he'd ever need to use it.

[Promenade]

She found herself cleaned up and standing in front of a peculiar human restaurant, one that was small and intimate and only seemed to house bar stools for patrons to sit and eat all in a neat line on the counter while the chefs worked their magic in front of them. Shani tilted her head at the sign and sincerely hoped that this 'ramen' shop actually served noodles and not the worms served in gagh.

Do humans eat worms? These were very important questions - because Shani took everything seriously, including her meals.

Her antennas twitched. There was an indention in her spacial environment. From behind, she could sense the hard precise angles of a phaser tucked away in someone's pocket from behind. Her Imperial Guard instincts kicking in, she waited until the perpetrator walked past her so he could hear her speak.

"I hope you have security clearance for that." She sincerely hoped he didn't. It would be the first time she would ever bodily throw someone into a ramen stand.

"No visitors," Reede said out loud staring intently at the Ferengi's. The two visitors stared back at her and then turned to leave, mumbling to each other. Their backs stiff in revolt, they didn't faze LK at all. She knew they were too cowardly to pursue an argument with her.

Then again, they were also very sneaky.

When I get relieved, I'm going to find out how I missed those orders, she thought.

She was brought back to the present by Lt. Tritter's voice.

Smiling, Ensign Reede decided it would be best to tell her boss that he'd promoted her to Ensign just after the Christmas celebration. He was probably so distracted by the theft and the Zombies that he simply forgot.

She slapped at her comm badge.

=/\= On my way, sir! =/\=

[Security office]

Ensign Reede stepped into the office, stopping in front of the lieutenant's desk.

"A civilian freighter, sir? Sounds like fun."

Straightening her shoulders, she said quietly, "By the way, I'm an ensign now."

Hust turned as someone spoke to him. He turned and looked at the person he thought the voice belonged to. "Excuse me?" He asked, looking at her.

He looked her over, trying to tell what she was talking about. "If you're talking about the phaser, yes." he said, producing his commbadge from another pocket. Although by itself it didn't give him authorization, it did prove that he wasn't just some random civilian with a weapon walking without watching where he was going. "And who might you be?"

"Ensign Shani. Flight Control," she told him coolly. "And former security logistics in the Imperial Guard. Hiding weapons on a civilian deck is a cause of concern on Andor - and I'm assuming on a Federation starbase as well."

Steve Marshall

(Security)

Marshall walked back to the Security office and when he walked in the room was decidedly frosty. It was Steve who got the stairs form those that were there. " I am sorry sir" he looked at the boss who was clearly cheesed of at for walking out of the room with out saying any thing. Now Steve had to remember that he know he had to answer to some one else besides the captain.

He stood a little behind the Lt " Excuse me sir could I talk to you when you have finished with this" He said quietly.  He stepped back away from the security chief  and listened to the room.

Octavius Reo

[CO's Office]

Zombies? Like those cheesey old films had seen at the Academy? Octavius has heard the term tossed about recently, but he had just brushed it off as just something people had called whatever it was that attacked. Surely 'zombies' were not actually real... Right?

He held back the need to ask and grabbed his tool box once more to follow Captain Briggs. It was about time they got to work.

They should be happy he didn't drop them like a sack of potatoes for the indiscretion. He would than state, "A little late for that now Lieutenant, Ensign Reede and I have work to do. Please go keep an eye on our Ferengi prisoners in the Brig, we will discuss it after" His tone had a slight hint of anger to it, the man was very unhappy that he was ignored, so this is his way of teaching a lesson.
