Character Bio: He was born in London, both his parents performed some sort of duty for the starfleet. His father was an engineer on board a Korolev class ship and his mother worked as medical personnel. His childhood wasn't the most eventful part of his life he spent most of his time getting educated like required and came only a bit above average in school. Though in his spare time he spend a lot of time learning from his father about repairing and fixing stuff and therefore ended up having a large interest in becoming an engineer.

He decided early in his life that he wanted to join the starfleet like his parents and become an engineer, mostly because it seemed like the best option and the most adventurous one, and he felt like engineering would be fun because of all the things his father taught him and because he had a very easy time remembering stuff. He also liked the idea of wearing a uniform and the general idea of a chain of command.

He also fancies playing a fiddle, he feels like the music can make him relax and think of other stuff then just the usual trouble of life. He also does his best to maintain a clean look and a well-kept uniform.

He was glad that he had already been assigned a ship to serve on and a department, to his luck it was engineering and that was where he was heading. He walked into engineering where people were walking around and doing their job and now he just had to find his. He walked over to one of the engineers and tapped him on the shoulder.

"I'm sorry but could you direct be in the direction of the chief?" he asked with a polite smile.

The person looked over Sebastian for a short moment before responding.

"He's the man over there" he said pointing at a guy.

He nodded thankfully to the engineer and walked over to the chief and standing at attention as soon as the chief saw him.

"Sebastian Sinclair, reporting for duty, sir." he said to the chief.

The chief gave a nod.

"Welcome aboard Sinclair, you can join Peterson over there he'll run you through how things work around here" the chief said before going on with his job.

He gave of a short smile although the chief most likely didn't notice it because of having a turned back.

"thank you, sir" he responded before walking to Peterson.

I enjoyed reading over your application and would be delighted to accept you into the fleet as a Engineering Crewman on the USS Gettysburg.

As explained in the guidance notes, all new applicants to Shadow Fleet join as enlisted crewmen to gain the necessary skills, experience and knowledge of how we operate. You will begin at the rate of Crewman Recruit and, after one week of active posting, will be promoted to Crewman Apprentice and awarded your own signature ID card like mine below. You will also have the opportunity to select an enlisted trade in which to specialize.

Once you attain the enlisted rate of Petty Officer Third Class, you may then apply for the Officer Training Course at Shadow Fleet Academy (during one of our Commissioned Officer Recruiting Periods (CORPs)) or simply continue down the enlisted route with the chance to earn highly prized Senior Enlisted Command positions. We have implemented this structure to maintain a good ratio of officers to enlisted crewmen but also to allow all Academy courses to run concurrently, as opposed to sporadically.
