Season 4, Mission 03: The Farthest Frontier, Part I

[Scott Bradley]

Shelaf set the decompresion sequence as the rest filed back to the shuttle. He had just finished and was turning back when the dark figure got up and lept at him, ripping a gash down his arm. Shelaf fell back against a console as the figure lept again. Blood flowed freely from Shelafs arm as he pulled out his phaser and vaporised the figure. Shelaf fell to the floor, weakened by his wound.

As Shelaf materealised in the shuttle he collapsed on the floor, slipping into unconcousness.

The rest of the team made it back onboard. Scott nodded to mike

" Decompress now. Alan, lock a tractor beam and take us back to the ship."

Scott then pressed the comm button.

Bradley to Discovery

" Have Doctor Blackwell get ready, we have wounded "

"Understood. We'll beam them directly to sickbay"

*Kawolsky nodded to a crewman and the wounded were immediately beamed to sickbay*

Kawolsky to Sickbay

"Standby for wounded"

*Kawolsky nodded to a crewman and the wounded were immediately beamed to sickbay*

Shelaf, still unconscious, appeared in sickbay were a doctor grabbed him and took him to a bed. Shelaf was getting whiter and whiter as blood drained from his wound.

As Nickolai and Abraham arrived back at the discovery, Sergeant Watson went out to meet them.

"Hello Sirs, I'm the new Sergeant. I've been assigned to your squad so I thought it might be a good time to report to you."

*Now on the bridge, assuming his station, Cortez noticed an odd anomaly on sensors.*

"Sir, sensors are detecting a disturbance at the edge of the system"  he reported

*Continuing to scan the region, Cortez analyzed the readout*

"It's increasing...and it's heading towards us!"  he added

*Cortez placed the area on the viewer and was amazed by what he saw. He magnified the image*

"It...they look like ships."   he said, surprised  "A fleet of ships!"

"Scan them. Do they match the configuration of the Sal'Tek ships?"   he asked

*Mike scanned the ships again and matched the readings with the derelicts*

"They're different in design, but the energy signatures are the same"  he reported

*Kawolsky instantly went into "Battle Mode". The Sal'Tek ships were too much of a threat and he needed to be prepared*

"Red alert! All hands to battle stations. Commander Bradley to the bridge"   he shouted

*The Captain turned to Cortez*

"How many ships are there?"  he asked

"It's difficult to detect individual ships, but as they get closer, sensors are able to distinguish between the different energy signatures. At the moment, I estimate at least ten ships, sir."
