Greetings,
First of all, I am sorry for the nearly 22 hours of downtime in the last 48 hours time period. This mail will explain a lot of the reasons behind it. Last night for about 3 hours plus the last several hours, there has been some downtime. This has to do with the server httpd failure which might be caused by a SSL certificate not installing correctly.
Apache had to be recompiled from scratch along with removing the residue traces of the currupt ssl certificate that was being installed. A new one is being installed and hopefully it works without effecting httpd again.
Update from Platinum Server Management staff has confirmed that the SSL certification I purchased from RapidSSL was currupted and causing most if not all of the problems to the server. It wouldn't allow httpd (apache) from rebooting and allowing sites to be online. As of a few minutes ago, I went thru and deleted the primary cause of it to bring the httpd server back online.
Trick of the situation is, that the SSL could now be working correctly without it being located in SSL host and effecting httpd.cf file n the server completely now. What this means is, all cpanel/whm logins should now be certified but normal SSI for domains won't work correctly.
(On a side note, I've spent most of the last 48 hours trouble shooting this with PSM and only have gotten maybe 6 hours or less of sleep within these 48 hour period.
Chris
