[Risa]

Dylan nodded. "I was gonna stay shipside, work on something, but when I heard the Athena would be here I thought it was high time that I saw some of the people. Been too long since I last saw some of these people. Relaxing isn't exactly my specialty." He looked over at her, "But I'm glad that I came down. Of course, if I'd just seen the Athena in orbit I might have popped by, but this is quite nicer, I guess," he said, his speech rambling all over the place as he spoke, soaking in sunlight. He was very glad to see her, but inside he still wasn't sure about this "sand" stuff.

"Yeah that's good. You're one of the crew, it makes sense you'll go on missions. She always has her reasons, for everything she does. I'd be surprised if she didn't," he said, as he thought about the (now partially robotic) manner of Constance Lafayette. "I'm also assuming that she's up on the Athena, staying as far away from this place as possible?"

He heard the rundown of other people. "Hey, that's great. Cat and Leo... those two are a duo." he said, rolling his eyes. "And if the Engineers weren't making sure you were doing good, I'd have them scrubbing plasma conduits for a week." He said, being serious in what he said. Mulchano split his time between the two ships, and so Dylan usually got a chance to carry out his threat. Of course, under pretense... can't exactly abuse your position as XO... (At least, not overtly...).

"I've got a few- but thanks to Constance for raising us as she has. She's one of the only reasons I'm able to pretend to carry off this job!" He exclaimed, genuinely thankful. What he'd do without the time on the Athena was anyone's game. He coughed a bit as she hit him, and he began working his way up. "Alright, what do you have in mind?"

[Risa - Beach]

Ash shook her head knowingly as Dylan spoke, even as she smiled and distractedly ran her fingers through his hair (making it stick out in all sorts of fun directions). Dylan definitely wasn't exaggerating when he claimed to be terrible at relaxing. Ash could distinctly remember a time back when they had first met when Dylan hardly even used his quarters to rest, seeming to survive solely off of caffeine and stubbornness. Needless to say, she was pleasantly shocked to find that he had willingly agreed to this vacation.

Her head shaking manner changed to one of denial when Dylan reached his next topic. "I'm just the cook, Dylan. And a civilian at that. I'm hardly important... But Constance always does have a plan of sorts, I guess. Even if she's the only one who can make sense of it." She paused for a moment when he asked about her whereabouts. "To be honest," she started, smiling sheepishly, "I don't know where anyone from the Athena is... I kinda left in a hurry before everyone else to explore and see if you were here... And I - I didn't get lost per say - I just couldn't... um... find my way back... So I don't know where anyone is." She was blushing slightly by the end of it, but Dylan hopefully would just mistake it for a flush from the heat, seeing as the tropical climate was something neither of them was acclimated to.

Ash flat out laughed when Dylan threatened the engineers. "You know, Mulchano mentioned something like that at one point, but I didn't know he was being serious until now." She looked down at Dylan warmly, simultaneously touched and amused by his unique way of watching over her while he was away on the Challenger. She gave him a quick peck on the cheek before saying, "Well, I'm honored that you're abusing your chief engineer superpowers to look out for me. Even if that means I'm dating some sort of villainous fiend - but I already knew that of course. You have an inherently shady look about you." She stuck her tongue out at him childishly, all seriousness gone from her voice as she teased him mercilessly.

Ash grinned fiendishly and began taking Dylan's shoes off without explaining why. She then hopped to her feet and pulled Dylan up after her. (At least, that's what she attempted to do. Given her small frame, however, Dylan likely did most of the work himself). Ash left their belongings where they had fallen in the sand and dragged him a few meters over to the edge of the water so that the waves lapping up onto the shore stopped just short of their bare feet. She continued holding his hand as she looked up at Dylan with an excited light shining in her eyes, practically bouncing on the balls of her feet. "Can we go into the water? Please? I've never been... I've read about the ocean my whole life, but I've never been able to touch it..."

Oh, Nicholas said. Given what Ryan went through, he clearly had no right to complain.
After a pause, he picked up, In any case, you're both children compared to me.
 I'm almost double Ryan's age!

Tritter chuckled quietly at Nicholas, before he replied with, "Age is just a number anyways", his heavily German accented voice carried easily through the air as he spoke.

[Risa-resort]
"Are comparing age or our kind prime aga?" D'Vid asked with smirk. He pointed his open hand at the other men. "By all means, I am 800 years old. Prime age is about 1500 to 2000," he added. "Then the other hand it's how old you think you are.... like a gent from El-Aurian who was 500 who claim he felt he was over a thousand years near the ancients."

Ryan turned to face D'Vid, a small but mischevious grin formed on the man's face, "So you are old as dirt than?" He chuckled, at least he found it amusing. He than listened to them discuss their backgrounds with interest, he knew that both he and Michael had fairly... humble backgrounds, so neither had much to share, the two men made small talk among themselves, as well as listening to the other two discussing things.

D'vid tilted his head, as his eye brows gone up and a grin grew on his face. "Well I had been around for a good 800 years old," he sighed. "Far from middle age, I am more of twenty five percent. El-Aurians can live up to 3000 years." He tapped his fingers on the table.

Randy listened to Ryan and DíVid discuss age and was mildly interested in the span spoken about because of discussions about how the shorter lived species were more productive and were the actual driving force behind tech development. Humans were one of those short lived races and their drive to expand technology and knowledge the linchpin of the Federation.

Duration of lifespan was one of the reasons many thought his pursuit of developing a human version of emotional control based on the Vulcans was even a thing; they were wrong.

Clever looked down at the boy who he barely knew laying on the biobed like a slack sock his brown eyes vacant. He had to fight down his anger over the situation because it was unwarranted and futile because there was no foe to crush for causing he or his grandson pain.

Kids have a way of rebounding from even the worst and if heís as strong as his dad said my grandson will be one of those. he said in a low and rumbling tone more to himself than the Doctor.

Then with a crisp right face Clever Drake turned his gaze on the nervous physician and said Inform me as to the progress of his treatment once your specialist arrives after which he marched out followed by his Yoeman who wore a concerned expression.

Nicholas decided it was time to change the conversation.
I think we should keep on doing what we love as long as our bodies can take it.
On that note, does anyone want to go sailing?

D'Vid turned to look at Nicholas. "It depends where we can go. Are we going where you had not gone to or a place you had been. Just curious," D'Vid asked. A adventure would be a different. But going to the place Nicholas knows could be a good spot. It would be new to them but to Nicholas it would be the same. It all depends on how one views it.

I haven't been on Risa for all that long, so there's plenty of sea to explore, Nicholas said. I brought my own boat here, and it's ready to go any time.

If D'Vid was gay or opposite sex he would easy fall in love with the man. Cause he sounded awesome because he had a boat. But he was not.

"You seem to be full of surprises," D'Vid shared. "You invested property here too?" he asked.

The lingering kiss and the way he touched her forehead with his sent pleasant chills through her loving the connection they had but then as he spoke and their eyes met, she could feel her heart pounding in her chest realising exactly how much she loved him right now. But that was nothing compared to what happened next and the surprise at seeing him get down on one knee before showing her the most perfect ring, happy tears filled the corner of her eyes as she looked into his and knew there was only one answer she could give.

" From the moment we met I felt the same way about you Caleb, I love you with all of my heart and yes I will marry you".

[Risa Resort- Beach]
Caleb smiled as he and Katheryn had finished their first glasses of the bottle of wine they took with them. In their cabana, they had a table, hammock, and privacy. After placing the glasses down on the table, they two were on the hammock laying down. It was those quiet moments with her that Caleb enjoyed the most. He kissed the top of his fiance's head lightly.

From the proposal on the beach to them now enjoying this alone time in the Cabana was just perfect for Katheryn and she was loving every single second of being with Caleb. She never imagined that she could love someone as much as she did with her handsome fiance and couldn't wait to continue sharing her future with him. As they laid in the hammock and he lightly kissed the top of her head she snuggled in closer to him as she then lifted her hand and admired the perfect stunning ring that was now placed on her third finger.  " I know I've said this already but I love you Caleb Brighton and how you've made feel so special tonight" she said quietly.

Dylan relaxed a lot as she ran her fingers through his hair. It was a very tranquilizing effect, and if she kept it up he might fall asleep. He didn't notice the directions it took for a bit, but when he did he patted it back down to some semblance of order quickly. It was very short, which helped. As to the caffeine and stubbornness, that was still the prime two elements of Dylan's life. Some things never changed. The only reason he'd come down was probably the woman sitting by him, but who knows. Maybe he kinda wanted to come down of his own accord too.

When she yanked off his shoes and told him to follow, he did so. He had no idea where he was going, and she needed his help to get him up, but he went willinglyish, and so found himself, yet again, being subjected and wound around her finger due to her whining. "Ash, you know you don't need to ask me what to do. You're an adult, though you don't act like it." He said, grinning as he held her hand. "You wanna run in, I'll follow. But you'll save me from drowning, right?" He asked as he looked out at the unceasing, dark blue of the water. It was mysterious, but also quite intriguing. He wanted to run in but showed restraint. Ash, on the other hand, was ready to run in and could barely contain herself. "I've never been in the ocean either, actually."

[Risa - Beach]

Ash rolled her eyes at Dylan's teasing, grinning as she rammed her shoulder against his playfully. "As if you're any better, clanker," she mumbled under her breath as she stuck her tongue out at him. When Dylan continued on to say he'd follow her, Ash made a noise that was somewhere between an excited squeak and a happy pterodactyl screech and, after giving his hand a quick squeeze, released his fingers to sprint into the water. She came to a halt when the water was around her ankles, reveling in the feeling of the sand under her feet and the gentle waves moving against her legs.

She looked back over her shoulder at Dylan and called out, "Of course I'll save you! Now come and get me!" She temporarily ignored the fact that she couldn't swim herself. She'd read about it, so she had a basic idea what to do, right? As her last words left her mouth, Ash splashed into deeper water, her dress pooling in the water that was now around her waist. She hadn't bothered taking it off in her excitement to get in the water, and she didn't care at all that it was slowly becoming soaked.
